Taco Bell Value Menu

Value Menu items from Taco Bell in May, 2008. We also had a coupon for free Fruitista Freeze. My husband ate all the food and I didn't eat any of that so I don't know the taste. I had a Fruitista Freeze and it wasn't good at all. You may think these are cheap, but think about the calories and other bad stuff in it. It's just so bad for your health. Maybe you're gonna ended up going to hospital and paying so much money for bad health in the future. This is why I don't eat this.

Wynn - breakfast / lunch buffet 2008

Wynn breakfast buffet. We got here for breakfast, but when we were leaving, it was lunch, so we could try out breakfast and lunch both. Price was $12.57 per person for breakfast.

They had a promotion for new players, if you join the players club and earn enough points, you get 2 free buffets. I received free play, too. I had never made a card here with my name before, so I made it to get the free play and buffet.

The last time we were here at the Wynn buffet was back in 2006, and it was dinner. So this was actually our first time trying the breakfast and lunch buffet. It was actually very good. I loved their breakfast items. All this quality food for $12.57, that is a bargain.

CLICK HERE and HERE for 2006 dinner buffet pics.

Did you know, they are all fruits and vegetables?

fruit salad, yogurt, grapefruit, sausage, egg benedict, and dry bread

french toast, ham, eggs, sausage

pastries and yogurt with lots of strawberries and granola
The croissant was very good. I think it was similar taste to the one at the Wynn drugstore cafe.

tomatoes, cranberry bagel, salmon cake, strawberries, waffle
Everything was good.

omelet from omelet station

from lunch items: pizza and pasta

I think it was fig and pear with gorgonzola, field greens, pecans...something like that.

sushi, potstickers, dumplings, mashed potato

fried chicken, mashed potato, veggies

My husband said his chicken was very juicy and moist, and delicious. Probably because it was fresh.

meatball, risotto, and veal patty (I think)

mango and lemon sorbet
Very tasty.

Mango tasted so much mango taste. You can see vanilla beans in the vanilla ice cream. All the sorbet and ice cream was delicious. Tasted homemade, no nasty medicine taste like some other cheap buffets.

Homemade Sour Cream Pound Cake

Homemade Sour Cream Pound Cake. Recipe from "Virginia Hospitality" cookbook. Instead of a tube pan, we used a regular loaf pan.

Sour Cream Pound Cake

1 cup butter, softened
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. baking soda

1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
3 cups sifted flour
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1 1/2 tsp. almond extract

Preheat oven to 300F. Cream butter. Add sugar, 1 cup at a time. Beat at high speed after each addition. Add whole eggs, 1 at a time, beating well at medium speed. Add sour cream, beating well. Add soda, baking powder and salt to flour. Then add dry ingredients, 1 cup at a time, mixing well after each addition. Add flavorings. Pour into well-greased tube pan. Bake for 1 1/2 hours. Let stand 10 minutes before removing from pan.

Grand Cafe - Red Rock Casino

Desserts from the Grand Cafe at Red Rock Casino. $4.99 each. Desserts here are good. I got pastries at the Grand Cafe in Green Valley Ranch before and it was very good, if you like what you ordered. I like fruit tart, so I got it and it was good. I don't know why I got the chocolate mousse + brownie thing, because I don't like brownies and heavy chocolates, so I didn't like that one. But if you like chocolate, brownie, and rich flavor, you're gonna love it. In fact, my husband liked it.

Fruit tart. There was a custard under the fruits.

I think it was white chocolate mousse and brownie on bottom. It was very rich, heavy.

Mi Casa Grill Cantina - Silverton casino

Mi Casa Grill Cantina Mexican restaurant at Silverton casino. Food was good. I liked my calamari, my husband liked his burrito. But the service wasn't great. We were sitting near the kitchen, I could see the waiters standing and just talking in the back, while we were waiting for a refill. Also it took almost 20 minutes to get our food, and to me, that's really slow.

Also when we were at Silverton in January 2009, we saw a sign saying all the restaurants at Silverton were still doing "buy 1 get 1 free entree" after 4pm until the end of January.

Giant calamari $11
chipotle-dusted, crisp-fried with cilantro-garlic aioli

Machaca beef burrito $13
flour tortilla stuffed with beef, cheese, rice & charro beans

Red Rock Casino - Feast Buffet 2008

Red Rock Casino Feast Buffet in December 2008. We had a coupon from the local newspaper, which was buy 1 get 1 free at any Station casino buffet, plus we had a Boarding Pass card, so this breakfast buffet was $6.99 + tax = $7.53 for two. It seemed like most people had the coupon from the newspaper, so there was a long line. We waited about 30 minutes, and when we were leaving, the line was even longer. We went to other Station casinos later that day, and all the buffets had a long line.

Somehow, I really wanted orange juice this day, unfortunately, the waitress said "out of orange juice". This is the breakfast buffet, it's only been 3 hours since they opened and already no more orange juice? Okay, so I got apple juice. It was low quality, super sweet apple juice with lots of corn syrup. I couldn't drink more than half.

OK, now, lets talk about food. It SUCKS. This place is suppose to be the locals favorite buffet, maybe because it's cheap. In fact, $7 for two is cheaper than going to Subway, and this is all-you-can-eat. But you know what, food sucks.

If you want good food, I don't recommend here, but if you want something cheap and doesn't matter the taste, then this might be a good place to go. And don't forget to check the local newspaper!

Sushi was like it was made by machine, even Vons sells better sushi than this. The Chinese bun was dry.

Carved ham and salad were good. Hush puppy was alright. Carrot salad looked so gross, it looked like food somebody threw up.

spaghetti with meat sauce

The fried chicken was so dry, my husband couldn't eat it, and he loves fried chicken.

roast beef, apple sauce, coleslaw

nasty Chinese food

blueberry muffin and ice cream

cheap nasty desserts

ice cream with medicine flavor

Caesars Palace - Palace Tower Room

Caesars Palace Palace Tower hotel room. It's like a smaller version of Augustus Tower. This was a smoking room, but I didn't smell cigarette smells at all and I was amazed about that.
