Botero - Encore hotel, Las Vegas

There are so many good steakhouse in Las Vegas. I was browsing on internet and searching for steakhouse and found this place. Since I was staying at Encore, and going to XS night club after the dinner, this place was just perfect.

The service was very good, better than average and I'm happy about it.

We seated outside with nice pool view. And this pool area's gonna be packed with people after 10pm.

menu

cocktails

I started off with Pear Pearl cocktail. My cocktail was strong so I started drinking slowly.

Pear Pearl $16
Zacapa 23 yr. rum, Mathilde pear liqueur, Gosling's ginger beer, fresh lemon juice

delicious bread - cranberries and epi

butter

Oysters on the half shell $18
champagne mignonette

About 10 minutes after the bread was served, our waitress brought us our appetizers.
They were served on ice, the oysters were small, but delicious.

champagne mignonette for oyster. We also asked for horseradish sauce.

Maine lobster clams $25
brioche stuffing

They were served on peppercorns and rock salt. I love lobster, clams, and brioche, so of course, I love it.

Vanilla scented yams $11
We ordered as a side dish, but it was too sweet for side. More like eating dessert. But good.

Here's the steaks we got. You can choose preparation of your steak from: pepper steak, chimichurri, or traditional. We both chose traditional. They also came with little salad and sauteed brown onions in tart shell. The onion taste like the onion in onion french soup.

Bone-in ribeye 20oz $52
My friend ordered this, and told me "craft steak at MGM is better". ...sorry to hear that.

Petite filet 8oz $49

That would be nice if they serve steaks with homemade steak sauce. Since my steak was tasty, I could eat without sauce, but I asked for steak sauce anyway and they brought me and I think it was A1 sauce.

dessert menu

cappuccino

Pear cider sorbet $12
poached pears, spice cake

S'mores brioche doughnuts $12
toasted marshmallow, graham cracker, chocolate ganache

I think melted marshmallow was inside the doughnuts. They all tastes homemade.

Mil Hama Bakery - Koreatown

It's located in the same shopping mall with Hollys Coffee.
I bought two breads, one with vegetables, and the other one with nuts. The total was $3.15.

Ham and jalapeno, little spicy, I like this combination. Love this tasty bread.

There are raisins, almonds, and maybe chestnuts in it. It was heavy when I had it in my hand. So much nuts in it. Again, I love it.

Olive Bakery - Koreatown Plaza

Olive bakery, inside Koreatown Plaza (next to supermarket). Most breads are around $1-$1.50. Just like the other Korean bakeries, nothing special. I also bought a slice of green tea cake because it was on sale, but I don't recommend it. Breads are ok, but not their cakes.

Green peas

chestnut $1

Soboro bread with red bean

Green tea cake $1.50 (reg $3.50)

Like I said, I don't recommend it. It was bland and the sponge cake was dry.
