Ganache Patisserie & Cafe By Nicol - Monterey Park

Open late, little cute cafe in Monterey Park. I really liked Lychee jelly cake. We also ordered yuzu mango cake but they forgot and they served last one to someone else so we didn't get it. It depends on what you order, some items are good, some are just ok.

Green iced latte $3.75
Green bean, milk. Little too much milk for me but it wasn't thick.

Lychee Jelly cream cup $4.95
Delicious.

A piece of bite size cake came with tea. Too sweet and greasy.

La Monarca Bakery - Santa Monica

La Monarca Bakery is popular Mexican bakery in L.A. As some of you know, they recently opened another location in Pasadena. I do buy Mexican pastries often, but this place is absolutely the best for Mexican pastry shop. I wanted to buy just more than two pastries but if I buy more, I knew I'm gonna eat them all at once so I didn't. But I'm definitely going back for some croissants. They have varieties of croissants.

Chocolate croissant $2.25 and Danes $2.25

Mo-Chica - Downtown

I came here for lunch special. For $15, you get 2 sides, one entree of your choice and dessert. My choice of entree was stew and my friend's choice was risotto.

"Mo-chica is a vibrant, urban restaurant serving Chef Ricardo Zarate’s modern interpretations on traditional Peruvian comfort food."

Salad

pasta salad, cucumber, mayonnaise

Quinotto
Quinoa risotto, wild mushrooms, Parmesan, parsley infused oil
My friend's entree. I didn't try it.

Carapulcra

I knew it's gonna be little fatty but I had to try it. My stew was very nice. Soft, little spicy, flavorful.

Aventine Hollywood

New late night hang out place recently opened up in Hollywood. This time, we didn't have any alcohol, just here for the food. We had good food and good service. Yes, everything was delicious. The decor reminds me of Hinoki & the bird in Century City.

"Aventine Hollywood is a distinctive new addition to the Los Angeles dining scene, and showcases Adolfo Veronese’s signature bold Italian flavors with a refined twist. The menu highlights local produce as well as a bounty of artisanal and house made ingredients. Chef Veronese offers a variety of sharing appetizers and individual plates, giving diners an authentic and unique social dining experience. "
