LA Chouquette - Los Angeles

I love french pastries. I love danish. I've been to many bakeries in L.A., and this place is one of the top 10 bakery for danish. La Chouquette presents Angelinos with a new generation of French eclairs. Offering a mix of culinary artistry, exotic ingredients and an innovative gluten-free pasty. La Chouquette uses fresh, organic and seasonal produce, mouthwatering chocolate mixes, gluten-free pastry made fresh every day. For all Viennoiseries: Croissants, Chocolate croissants and Swirls they use only the finest French Butter, Isigny Ste Mere AOP, from Normandie.

Wa Dining Okan - San Diego

We were already so full by the time we got here, but we still wanted to try this place for quick dinner.
For overall, the food was good. I liked everything except pork cheek. My favorite was daily special, which was real crab rice.

Fresh oyster topped with ponzu jelly $6.95
Steamed Asari Clams in Sake $8.50
Pork cheek with green onion sauce $9
It's not bad, but it was just too greasy and tough for me.
Fried eggplant in tempura sauce topped with grated mountain potato $6
Flavored rice with real crab meat in a kettle $16.50

La Tropézienne Bakery - Los Angeles

This is one of my new favorite place to go for pastries. They use good quality butter and creams. You can actually see them making pastries there. And they were so friendly that makes me wanna go back. They are known for Tropezienne and that's the name of this place. So if you are not sure what to get here, get Tropezienne. They have regular size and small size. They also recommended Paris Brest. Also I personally recommend croissant/danish here.

Chouquettes - It's puff pastry without cream inside. Light and puffy
Berry danish $5 and Pistachio eclair tropeziene $3
