Bellagio - Olives

Olives restaurant at Bellagio hotel. We were here for lunch. This place is always packed. But I can understand that, because everything we ate was tasty and delicious. This place is casual, not too expensive for what you get, fine service, and good food. Highly recommended.

It sounds like you really enjoyed your meal at Olives! Which do YOU prefer, Olives or Sensi? both Bellagio restaurants that you've reviewed.

AWESOME! Had lunch today at Olives for the first time. I like Todd English and have some of his cooking gear (Green Pans, wooden spoons, rolling pin, etc.), so wanted to try his restaurant when we went to Bellagio to see how the Conservatory was decorated for Christmas (awesome!). We shared the Smoked Scamorza Mozzarella flatbread (baked in a wood-fire oven)- marinated artichokes, roasted peppermada, and cracked black olives. It was out of this world! We all kept saying "mmmmmm"! I had the Smoked Salmon Panini on toasted pumpernickel bagel with herbed cream cheese, red onions, capers, tomatoes, bibb lettuce and mixed field greens. It was so light and fresh, and absolutely delicious. I'd definitely order it again. Stacks of wonderfully fresh lightly smoked salmon...an exquisite version of lox & cream cheese on a delicate bagel. One friend had the Crispy Portobello Burger with boursin cheese, roasted piquillo pepper, pickled cucumber, bibb lettuce and parmesan steak fries. The other had the Olives Burger with truffle cheese, balsamic glazed onions, and parmesan steak fries. It was delicious, and cooked perfectly medium rare. The buns were soft and delicious. Our waitress was attentive and very friendly, and we had a table next to the huge windows immediately overlooking Lake Bellagio, so we got the water show free throughout lunch for entertainment! Extensive wine by-the-glass menu, and we all had a different one that we enjoyed. Came out to $45 per person...a little pricey for lunch, but you expect higher prices at a Bellagio restaurant owned by a celebrity chef. It was totally worth it. Very nice, relaxing atmosphere, beautifully decorated, wonderful food, good service, great view, and a nice treat with good friends. Will definitely go back!
