When you're driving to Vegas from Los Angeles, you'll always see the billboard sign for "Best Gyro in the US". We were hungry and we always wanted to try this place, and we finally did.
This place was kinda crowded. But we got our food in less than 5 minutes.
I was really shocked, one plate of gyro costs $9.85, with nasty instant rice. But $9.85, for one gyro?? One drink and one gyro total was $13? Isn't that a little too expensive? Of course we only got one order. It's too expensive for us. And how was the taste? Well, it wasn't "best gyro in the US". Food was so average. If you think this is really the best gyro you've ever had before, your best meal ever must be McDonald's.

I DO FINALLY STOPPED THERE AFTER YEARS OF PASSING IT.. WOW I MISSED A HELL OF A LOT OF CHANCES!!
We were driving to Vegas and my brother-in-law (who is Greek) told us to stop @ Mad Greek Cafe.
ReplyDeleteWhat a waste of time and money! I had a greek salad ($8.00) with two (Canned!!!)dolmades. They only gave me 1 and when I asked for another, the cook said "I gave her 2". So they pretty much called me a lier. My husband got gyro which was not very good. The tzatziki was terrible! He suffered all night. My daughter's chicken was good though. If you have ever had good Greek food this is not it! The prices are too high for the quality of food.
