Vie De France, located inside South Coast Plaza (1st floor, under Williams Sonoma). They also have a restaurant next to the bakery counter.
We bought a baguette, apricot tart, and 2 croissants, and the total was $10. The taste was actually better than it looks. When I was looking the pastries in the showcase, none of them looked good to me. But actually the croissants were very good.
They also have so many locations in Japan, but menu and tastes are different from what I remember. They have more variety and also look better in Japan.
French baguette

I believe chocolate and almond paste or something in it.
chocolate croissant
Lots of chocolate. Not like the ones from Porto's Bakery.
