Homemade oyakodon

This was back in June, 2009. I made oyakodon. This recipe was probably the best one I ever made.

I got the recipe from here:
http://recipe.gnavi.co.jp/recipe/4227.html

Oyakodon (serves 4) 631kcal per person

For broth:
water 300ml
soy sauce 100ml
mirin 100ml
sugar (optional)
dashi stock (optional)

chicken 120ml (cut into pieces)
brown onion (sliced) 1/4
green onion (sliced) 1/4
carrots (cut into thin strips) 1/10 (*I didn't use carrots)
eggs 8
rice for 4

#1. Make broth. Put all ingredients for soup in a bowl. Mix until sugar and dashi is melted.
#2. In a saucepan, pour broth, chicken pieces, sliced vegetables. Set aside.
#3. Meanwhile, beat eggs 2 seconds in a bowl. (*2 eggs per person, and beat ONLY 2 SECONDS). Pour rice on bowl.
#4. Heat saucepan (#2). Once boiling, turn to low heat and cook until chicken pieces start changing color to white. (*make sure your chicken pieces are bite size and not too big.)
Then pour eggs over.
#5. Pour #4 on the rice.
