Sasaya is Japanese Izakaya type of place in West L.A.. They do offer varieties of Japanese food that goes well with sake. Food here is not the best, but good.
Agedashi tofu mochi $6.20
Lightly fried and served with bonito broth, topped with grated daikon radish, bonito flakes, nori seaweed. I always order this when I see this on the menu at Japanese restaurants.
Jidori Karaage $6.50
Japanese fried chicken, marinated in soy sauce and ginger.
Edamame gyoza $4.80
Negima $2.60, Muneniku $2.80, Tsukune $2.60
Umaki $7.20
Japanese egg omelet with eel inside
Uni tofu $9.50
Lightly soy sauce marinated sea urchin on a bed of tofu
Sake nanban $7.50
Lightly fried salmon in a sweet and sour sauce.
This dish is better with chicken. That's what I thought when I was eating.
Mochi crepe $6.80
Unique twist on traditional mochi served with pound cake and your choice of ice cream with red bean
Green tea ice cream inside
