Tasca - Los Angeles

I don't drink wine but I wanted to check out some of the food here. I was here just in time for their happy hour. They offer so many items for $8. Because this is the wine bar, many of their dishes using cheese and that's actually really bad for me because I don't eat cheese. Also the menu is not written in English so it's hard to figure out what they are. I had to keep asking the questions to our server.

Complimentary bread
It was served with roasted pepper sauce and it was delicious.

Gambas al ajillo $13
sauteed shrimp in garlic sauce
A must try. Yummy garlic sauce. I wanted to drink the sauce.

Mussels $8 (happy hour size)
Served in saffron broth
Tasty broth.

Calamares fritos $11
Fried calamari, garlic aioli
Not much to say

Ceviche $8 (happy hour)
citrus marinated seafood, salad on bottom
Refreshing

Hamburguesa $8 (happy hour)
Angus burger
So juicy, juice was dripping

Braised short rib $12
with buttered squash ravioli, brown butter, sage sauce
Short rib was so soft and delicious. Melt in your mouth.

Dessert menu

Americano

Profiteroles $8
vanilla ice cream, dulce de leche ganache

Ice cream of the day (vanilla) $7
Tasted like store bought.
