Hooters World Wing-Eating Championship Qualifier in Las Vegas

You may have heard of professional eater Joey Chestnut, who holds the world record for hot dogs, having eaten 68 in ten minutes at Nathan’s Famous at Coney Island, Brooklyn. Also know this: On April 20, 2013, Vegas-based Miki Sudo ate 40 Nathan's Famous Hot Dogs and buns at the New York-New York Hotel & Casino in her Major League Eating (MLE) debut. In doing so, she out-ate Joey Chestnut and joined the MLE top-10 with a relentless, patient, metronomic display that belied her relative inexperience at the competitors' table. But there's more.

On June 26, 2013, Miki Sudo will compete in the Hooters World Wing-Eating Championship Qualifier in Las Vegas against other top-10 eaters for a $1,000 prize plus a trip to compete in the Hooters World Wing-Eating championship. The contest will precede the 17th Annual Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant, which will take place at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas. So come out and support your local rookie Miki as she eats her way to victory at 7 pm at the Paradise Beach Pool at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.

Registration for this event is open. Contestants may register at http://www.ifoce.com/
