Benten Ramen - San Gabriel

This place used to be Tonchan ramen. They survived 2 years. Now it's Benten. The owner is Japanese. That's important, right?

I came here during the grand opening week and they were having 50% off promotions with yelp check-in, so each ramen was $4.40. Also they give you a free bowl of rice per person with your ramen order. And complimentary rooibos or green tea! I love it.

The menu is very simple. Only four ramens to choose from and they use different sizes of the noodles. Noodles are thinner for Tonkotsu and shoyu, thicker for tsukemen and miso.
