Javista Organic Coffee Bar - Hollywood

My last latte in 2013 was this place, at Javista. Not sure what makes me liking this place, but I love this place. This little coffee bar is cute, friendly stuff, organic but prices are reasonable compared to some other high-end coffee shops in L.A., and they have such a yummy pastries. I got cream puff, I was little worried that it may be too sweet for me, but it wasn't. I loved it.

*I just received the message from Jacista and they said most of their pastries are from Urth caffe.

Latte: $3.75
My latte was very good, but not the best I've had. Barista did great latte art with nonfat milk. I know it's difficult to do latte art with nonfat milk.

Cream puff $5.95

Creme Brulee looking cream puff was filled with lots of custard and little sea salt caramel. It was pretty big, So good.

No sugar, no butter, no artificial ingredients, all made with natural ingredients and low-calorie. Girls, don't you love that? And everything is around $10. Inside the restaurant is very clean with comfy booth and pillows.

You have to place the order at the counter, then you seat.

Hello Kitty cake at Flour + Tea - Pasadena

Finally, finally I had a chance to visit here! I got here 30 minutes before closing so we couldn't stay long. There were so many yummy looking cakes but I had to try Hello Kitty cake, of course I'm a big Hello Kitty lover. I also tried bread and they were delicious.

When I was taking pics, they told me no photos because some bakers were copying their cakes. But I told them, I'm a food blogger and just wanna blog about it and they said ok. So yeah, if you wanna take pics, you might wanna ask them before you do so.

They were very friendly, we love this place.

I'm getting this next time.

Aww it's too cute to eat!! Unfortunately, it was too dry. It could be because it was made in the morning and I got here at 10pm.

They gave us this mochi bread for free to try!  They have many different flavors of this mochi bread. If you never had mochi bread before, try it. It's delicious.

Birthday week at Benihana 2013

So I went to Benihana again this year with my $30 offer. But I think this is the last time I'm visiting Benihana since they updated about the birthday certificate and I don't think it's worth paying. I really think people go there because of the free $30 food.

Beginning on January 2, 2014, the $30 Birthday Certificate can only be redeemed after the initial purchase of any adult entrée* during dinner hours, Monday through Thursday.

So yeah,  no more free $30.
