Midori matcha cafe - Little Tokyo

Midori matcha is one of my go to spot in Little Tokyo. They serve pastries from Pitchoun bakery in Downtown, L.A. It's little pricey but delicious. I also love soft serve ice cream here, specially hojicha soft serve ice cream. It's so rich and has strong hojicha flavor, and it won't melt fast like some other ice cream shop. You won't be disappointed.
This menu is from back in March, they added few more items on the menu, such as hojicha latte, hojicha soft serve, etc.

Hojicha / matcha soft serve ice cream $4.50
Hojicha soft serve
You can really taste hojicha. It's really good.
Matcha puff $5
Matcha napoleon $5.50
Matcha croissant $4
Matcha danish $4.75

TeaShot - Little Tokyo

TeaShot opened about a month ago in Little Tokyo, behind the Midori matcha cafe . I do come to this mall often but I didn't notice about this place. It's hidden.

TeaShot specialized all natural ingredients tea drinks with boba, and all their teas are brewed to order. That's right, it's not pre-made in batch. They have regular honey boba, but they also have organic chia seed honey boba, and this is the only place serves chia seed boba. Nowhere else. So that's something you must get here. And they also have butterfly pea drinks, and that's also very unique. You won't find it easily.

Gong Cha - Little Tokyo

Gong Cha just opened in Little Tokyo about 3 days ago. This place used to be Four Leaf cafe. Gong Cha is a Taiwan-style drink shop franchise originally from Taiwan. You get to choose your sugar and ice level.

Earl grey milk tea with 3JAlways my favorite
QQ passion fruit green tea
It was sweeter than I thought. But I liked it. Very refreshing. Very right but has strong passion fruit flavor.
Matcha smoothie
This wasn't my favorite, to be honest. It's different from Japanese matcha. It has weird chinese/taiwanese taste.
Milk form green tea
If you only taste milk form, it's salty. But it tastes different when you mix with green tea.

La Tostaderia - Venice

Chef Fernando Villagomez’s La Tostaderia Grand Central Market location has seen great success and he is excited to be bringing these Baja favorites to the West Side. It's a great place to get fresh Mexican seafood tacos and tostadas. Everything was fresh and delicious.

Beijing Pie House - Monterey Park

We had such a bad time here. Terrible service, they took wrong order and blame us, they live in America and they don't speak any English. If they understand English, they didn't make mistake taking order. They were also very rude when we were ready to pay. We told them charge on the card and the rest is cash, because we were using gift card. But they didn't understand and at the end, they yelled at us, and said "we do our way". I don't know why this place has such a good reviews, the food was ok, nothing outstanding.
