Wheat Shop - Pasadena

I was in this area about 2 weeks ago and I saw this bakery so I stopped by. This place just opened and when I was there. they were offering 10% off on everything, and also you get free milk tea with Yelp check-in.
Wheat Shop specializes in producing bakery and cafe products like croissants, cakes, tiramisu, cookies, etc. Everything is freshly baked in the early morning. They also provide a range of drinks such as milk tea, flavored tea, and espresso coffee.

I got boba milk tea, green tea tiramisu and green tea croissant. Croissant was good, it's just covered with green tea and no green tea cream inside. Tiramisu was little disappointed. It was overly covered in matcha powder, it didn't have much flavor. It was boring.

Fat Sal’ Fat Fuhgettaboutit pizza sandwich

Late night, after clubbing, and you are craving for some good but bad food? Well, Fat Sal's have this new crazy pizza sandwich, "Fat Fuhgettaboutit", features cheeseburger, chicken fingers, bacon, mozzarella sticks, onion rings, fries, and ranch dressing on a slice of cheese pizza!

Not sure if you can tell but the portion was huge. A slice of pizza is probably equal to 2-3 slices of regular pizza and all the carbs are on top. Oh it was good.

LUIGI al TEATRO - Santa Monica

I was at LUIGI al TEATRO for Yelp's open house private event as a plus one guest.
This place is newly opened and they also own Osteria Venice West in Venice.
I got to meet the owners, Ichiro and Luigi Fineo, who is Michelin chef and also the owner. I was sampling some of their pastas, desserts and sake. Food was really good. This is one of the must try newly opened Italian restaurant in L.A.

Sunmerry Bakery - Monterey Park

Taiwanese bakery, Sunmerry Bakery specializes in fresh Asian pastries and desserts. Sunmerry Bakery has over 80 kinds of bread and cakes such as Green Tea Croissant, Taro Milk Cake, BBQ Pork Chashu Bolo Buns, etc. They also have salted cheese tea, specializes in freshly brewed tea in which you can add a Salted Cheese topping that consists of whipped cream with a hint of rock salt and cream cheese.

All pastries were pretty good.

Makomae - Diamond Bar

I tried Makomae for the first time, and now this place became one of my top 3 favorite sushi restaurant in L.A. There are two sushi chefs making sushi, they are both Japanese and one of them are the owner. Everything was absolutely delicious and very reasonable. I really liked futomaki and battera sushi here. I'm already craving for it. I know the location is a bit far from L.A., but it's worth the try.
