Matcha-Cha offers soft serve ice cream and drinks. They only have two flavors of soft serve ice creams, matcha and strawberry. Their matcha is good quality, it's strong and really tasty. It's just like matcha soft serve you get in Kyoto.
They do validate your parking ticket, but it's only good for 15 minutes.
Matcha/Strawberry swirl with charcoal corn.
This one was the best. Deep matcha matcha with shiratama and red bean.
Hojicha latte and matcha pink lemonade
Hojicha didn't have much flavor
Fat Sal's introduces fat breakfast sandwich. It's available all day at Hollywood, Encino, and Westwood locations. As you can guess, the sandwich is pretty filling. Just forget about the calories and try it with fat shakes!
Just opened about 6 months ago, Bubble Crush make their boba drinks with all real stuff, like real fruits, real milk, and real strong tea. They don't use any creamer, fruit syrups, powders. That's great.
I sometimes ask " do you use real fruits?" and if they say "no, we use powders" then I just leave. Because I don't wanna powder drinks. I want all made with real stuff.
All their drinks are good, you can really taste strong flavor of teas. You can also choose sugar level so you don't have to worry about your drinks being too sweet.
Saly Papa Japanese yoshoku dining just opened few days ago and I was here on media preview night.
There are two types of Japanese food, which is washoku and yoshoku. Grilled fish, miso soup, sashimi, etc.. that's all washoku.
Yoshoku is a style of cuisine that modifies Western dishes with Japanese elements. Typical dishes of the style include; Omelet Rice, Hamburg Steak, Japanese Curry Rice, Hayashi Beef Rice, Spaghetti, Doria Gratin, and the technique of panko frying things such as pork loin, shrimp, oysters and croquettes.
There aren't many places to eat yoshoku here in Los Angeles so I was pretty excited. Too bad it's really far from where I live, but I recommended for kid's birthday, or casual family dinner!
Strawberry Guava Limeade (left) and Citrus Honey Yuzu Soda (right)
Yuzu soda is one of their most popular signature drink
This kale salad was my favorite of all, definitely not a traditional Japanese yoshoku food but it was absolutely delicious.
Hayashi beef fries
Crispy french fries with shortrib Hayashi beef and mozzarella
Saly Papa's signature dish: Yoshoku mixed plate
Combination platter with 6oz. hamburg steak with teriyaki sauce, omelet rice with ketchup, panko fried shrimp, seafood croquette, Napolitan Spaghetti and side salad.
Japanese kids loves this stuff. This is what we eat in Japan when we were kids.
Mega parfait
Fruits, cornflakes, waffles, chocolate and caramel sauce, Ice cream cones, vanilla and green tea frozen yogurt, etc.
