The Benediction by Toast - City of Industry

If you are looking for perfect brunch spot in this area, this is the place to go! Everything was so good. All entree comes with your choice of sides. Acvocado toast was my favorite.

Proper Pizza and Pasta - Los Angeles

Proper pizza is absolutely great place for pizza. The size of pizza is huge, and they do half and half. So if you have two flavors you want, you can do so. But I highly recommended you to try Carbonara pizza.

They do deliver, open late, and have free Wi-Fi.
Everything made from scratch, home made desserts are a must try.

They do have free parking but limited and difficult. I was lucky to find one tiny spot, but when I was leaving, 3 cars were blocking me and they were all trying to find and waiting for parking spot. I couldn't get out for 10 minutes.

Sushi bento box at SuperToro - Hollywood

At SuperToro, you can create your own bento box. How fun is that!? You pick what you wanna eat!
Food was delicious, and I like the fact they don't use soy paper, and all cut rolls are rice inside. That's how cut rolls should be!

So each bento box, you pick 4 items from the menu below.

Home made Japanese sticky rice okowa

I made Japanese sticky rice recently and I decided to share with you. Usually you use carrots, gobo, konnyaku, etc but since all I had was spinach, bamboo shoots, and mushrooms, that's what I used.

Always make sure to wash your rice before you cook until water is clear!

Sweet rice 1.5 / add 3+ cups water as shown

Add:

Hondashi powder (or use real dashi broth)

sake 1.5Tbsp

mirin 1.5tsp

sugar 1.5 tsp

soy sauce 1.5 tsp

salt 1/2 tsp

FYI, In Japan, every single household has hondashi at home. We use this to any kind of Japanese food. It's easy and convenient if you wanna quick dashi flavor, HOWEVER, another word of hondashi is MSG. Yup, that's right. It's MSG.

So for your health, I don't really recommended to use it often.

Mr. Frog - Rowland Heights

I know it sounds disgusting, but if you wanna try frog dishes, now open in Rowland Heights.
Frog seems like popular dish in China. It's pretty much same as eating chicken, in my opinion. It just have more bones.
