Islands Fine Burgers & Drinks restaurant

We had a coupon for a free burger and dessert for my husband's birthday, so this burger and dessert was free. This is not a place I'd go to often, and the reason is the calories and fat. I mean, one burger over 1600 calories?? No way I'm eating this whole burger. That's almost the calories I have to eat in one day!

The pie was really heavy and rich, and it has 350 calories, and the Kilauea burger has 1,650 calories! We shared, of course. I think I had 1/4 of burger, he had half on the day we got it, and he had the left overs the next day. For the pie, we both had a bite, then maybe a couple of spoons every day.

Encore Las Vegas

We were at the opening day of Encore. When we were playing at Wynn around 7-7:30pm, already there people were waiting, so my husband got in line at 7:30pm while I was playing slots. The opening was at 8pm, but by the time we finally got inside Encore was about 8:30pm. We wanted to play slots, but every single seat was taken. Nothing open and people were just standing and waiting for a seat to open. We saw so many jackpots. My husband also saw the owner of the Palms casino walking around.

Compared to Wynn, I think Encore is smaller, maybe like half of the size. Inside is very nice just like Wynn.

Arizona Charlie's - Sourdough Cafe, Nov.2008

Sourdough Cafe in Nov. 2008. The prices changed. Also the food was terrible this time. In the past, the food was fine. My husband ordered French dip, the meat was dry, also bad taste. Couldn't finish eating. I felt sick after half eating my popcorn shrimp. Even the ice cream for banana split wasn't so good. Anyway, we got more coupons for food credits, so we'll try something else and hopefully we'll get something better.
