My husband's Yelp friends recommended this place, so he got food from here. Those people are just crazy, the food wasn't good at all, or maybe we just don't like this type of food. No way we are paying $9. That's way too much. I did like the Napoleon, though.
Beef Shawarama $8.98 Marinated and spiced slices of beef, stacked on a spit and timely grilled against an open fire.
Napoleon $2.50

shawarma's are something that you either you like it, or you don't. i love chicken shawarmas, but my wife doesn't. i think chicken would be better, beef tends to be a bit more tougher/drier.
ReplyDeletei live up in Canada, in general, we pay CAD$7.50 for shawarma's, so for USD$9, that's really quite pricy.
love your blog btw.
I guess we just don't like it. Yes, $9 is too much. PLUS California sales tax went up starting today. 9.25%. Killing me.
ReplyDeleteactually its rlly good
ReplyDeleteI've eaten at both this one and the one in Canyon Country a few times.
ReplyDeleteIf you like Greek/Armenian/Arabic type food you would like this. Gyros, Kababs, Hummus, Falafel, Shawarma, that type of thing. The rice is also VERY good (they cook it in broth or something).
If you want to go cheap buy the sandwiches or individual items they are around $6 or $7.
The $9 is for the full plate which comes has a larger portion and comes with Pita or Lavash, Salad, Hummus. For that much food I don't think $9 is that bad.
The worst Armenian food I've ever had. I was looking forward in having a wonderful, delicious, juicy meal... And I was left in disgust by the whole meal. Forget the price, some things are worth it... this was junk.
