Mitsuwa autumn food fair, Oct. 22-25, 2009

We went to the autumn food fair at Mitsuwa Torrance. We got here at 4pm, and there weren't so many people. I couldn't believe it, but we got to buy everything we wanted (it's always busy and some things have sold out in the past).

Otafuku Okonomiyaki $5+ tax

Inside almost looked raw. Like monjya.

Chibaki-Ya

Chibaki-Ya shina soba ramen $8.90 + tax

noodle: chijire, thin noodle
soup: flavorful
topping: cha-shu (pork), menma (bamboo shoots), nori seaweed, green onion, hard boiled brown egg

I liked it, but my husband wasn't crazy about the thin noodles, because the noodles were like instant noodles. This wasn't the best ramen. We liked Shingen ramen much better than this Chibaki-ya ramen.

Kobe Fugetsudo waffles (green tea and chestnut) $2.50 each

Green tea also has a little red bean paste in it.

Chestnut has a whole chestnut in it.
