Rio - Village Seafood Buffet, 2009

This was our first time going here after they remodeled. This was on Christmas day, and there were huge lines for the buffet. And somehow, most customers were Chinese. I thought that was weird. Luckily, we saw that there was a separate VIP line for Platinum/Diamond club card. And there was no line! We used our comps. It was $76 for two.

Overall, most of the food was fine. The only disappointing thing for me was the ice cream and dessert section. Ice cream looked good, but tasted like medicine.

Sushi wasn't good quality, but if you like lobster/shrimp, you'll like this place.

Rio - Carnival World Buffet, Dec. 2008

More pics from Carnival World Buffet at Rio. $48 for two @ dinner. On this trip, my favorite things were the corn dog and cranberry bread. And maybe ham was fine, too. But everything else sucked.
Also we think if the tag says "chef's special", that means people who work there don't know what it is, so they just say "chef's special". I don't recommend eating these "chef's special" at this buffet.

There were some mystery unknown thing in it. I wonder what kind of meatball it is.

Lemon meringue pie and banana foster. Banana was awful, and lemon curd part for the pie tasted like made with instant lemonade mix.

Red velvet cake, flan, and... I don't know how to say, but it's cream in a chocolate cup and berries on top.

Rio - Carnival World Buffet, Nov. 2008

Carnival World Buffet at Rio. This was back in November, 2008. We received a coupon for 2 free buffets here. Usually it costs $48 for two, and this was a Sunday night. They do have a big selection of food, but like, for example, desserts looked so nasty, and gelato tasted terrible, sushi looked like made by machine, and some items were dry. I did like the cranberry bread they had.
