So Kong Dong Tofu House Korean B.B.Q. - Valencia, CA

Another restaurant in Valencia, CA. If you wanna eat REAL Korean food in Valencia, this is the place to go. As far as I know, this is the first real Korean food in Valencia, and taste very good. You get banchan like you get at Korean restaurant in Korea Town, and price is right.

I believe this is the family owned restaurant, when we were here, we thought the restaurant is closed (it looks like closed from outside) but it said open and it was open.

ban-chan: we really liked it. They'll bring you second ones if you'd like.

Bi Bim Bap (rice topped with vegetables in stone bowl) $9.95
I ordered with no meat but there were meat. If I wanted to order veggie & meat, I just order veggie & meat for $7.95. I wasn't happy about paying $2 more for veggie & meat, not only veggie, BUT taste was great.

Soon Tofu $8.95

After eating all, we were both very happy, and yes, we'd come back here again. I really hope that this place doesn't go out of business.

Karma Indian restaurant - Valencia

Karma Indian restaurant in Valencia, CA. We were here for Sunday Brunch, $10.95 per person.
There were about total 10 different food, not so many selections. Taste was OK but to tell you the truth, I'd rather drive 20-30 more minutes to Hollywood and get more tastier Sunday Brunch Indian food for $7. We didn't think this buffet gonna worth $11. And not spicy at all. We were very disappointed. We will not come back here.

Naan was very good.

FourQueens - Magnolia's Veranda Cafe

Magnolia's Veranda at Four Queens. Cheap, but we think food here is not very tasty.
Downtown is the place where you can get comp very easy so after you play little bit and wanna eat something at cafe, you always should go to the players club and ask if you can get anything. It shouldn't be difficult to get $20 meals at cafe.

Sahara - Buffet 2004 (CLOSED)

Sahara buffet in 2004. $6.99 per person for sunday brunch, I believe. I didn't wanna eat here but my husband really wanted to eat fried chicken so we came here. I only had one plate, I didn't like food here at all, and I didn't like selection of their food since I'm not crazy about fried chicken or mashed potato. So I was just watching my husband eating.

Good thing about this buffet is that you go and get your soda refill so you can choose the one you wanna drink and you don't have to wait for your server to get refill.

After we left, we both said never coming back here. This buffet was so nasty.

Stratosphere - Lucky's Cafe

Lucky's Cafe at Stratosphere. Every month, we get coupon from Stratosphere for dining credit and free gas. On this trip, we had a $20 dining credit coupon for cafe, buffet, or diner and we decided to eat at cafe because diner was closed on this day.

Build your own burger $7.29
One-half pounder served with lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, and bacon and Provolone cheese for extra 75 cents each.
Our waitress forgot the bacon but we told her and she didn't charge us for it.

Short stack pancakes with blueberries $5.24

So, after ordering orange juice $2.99 + Coke $2.29 + burger $8.04 + pancake $5.24 plus tax, the total was exactly $20. We did excellent job.

Rio - Carnival World Buffet 2005

Rio Carnival world breakfast buffet in 2005. I don't remember if we liked it or not (probably not) but service was good (maybe that's because it wasn't busy, only a few customers because we were here when they just opened for breakfast).

Spoon House - Gardena, CA

Spoon House in Gardena. The place for Japanese style pasta. It was delicious. And luckily, we didn't have to wait. You can see the kitchen where they're making pasta. No refill for soda here (it says on menu). I guess that's why everybody else was ordering iced tea (refilllable). Food arrived about in 10 minutes. Our bill was little under $23.

The menu also had some unusual "Japanese style" pasta, such as tuna, daikon, eggplant, Sea Urchin, Corned beef & cabbage, and much more.

free bread. I loved it.

"One-dollar" salad. $1. I loved this dressing. Very Japanese taste.

Japanese-style clam sauce with Shiitake & Shimeji mushrooms $9.75

Bolognese with wiener $8.50
I loved this sauce. It was very Japanese, very different from Italian sauce.
I read on internet, somebody said tomato based sauce here isn't that good, well, I loved it.
