MGM - Bungalow Suite hotel room

MGM Bungalow Suite. Internet is $12.99 for 24 hours. The only problem with this Bungalow Suite is that you can hear the people next door.

More snacks - Lotte Pepero, Manju

More stuff from the Korean supermarket in the Koreatown Galleria.

Parfait from Cake House Galleria. I think it was around $4.

Fake Pocky? Or copy version of Pocky? 50 cents each.

Pocky tastes better. Maybe the chocolate is different? I don't know. But for 50 cents, they are good snacks.

Marukyo Japanese Manju $2.99
As it says on package, they are good with Japanese tea.

Fried Chicken Snack

I found this when I was browsing at a Korean Supermarket and I just had to try it. "Fried Chicken Snack". Snacks that taste like fried chicken? I was very curious. They had other flavors, too, like spicy. I think it was $1.20 or something like that. It's shaped like drumsticks, inside is just air, fluffy. It didn't taste like fried chicken, but I couldn't stop eating. Good snack. There is a Japanese snack that tastes just like this one, but I can't remember which one.

Vegas offers and other things

Sorry, I couldn't update for a week. We were in Las Vegas for a whole week and I also got sick while we were in Vegas, and I'm still not feeling well. I haven't finished posting pictures from November and December, but I've got lots more pics of new places from last week, so please wait for me until I get better. I'll still try to update daily.

So here's a few thing going on in Vegas:
  • Rio seafood buffet is temporary closed for remodeling.
  • Flamingo opened new restaurant "Voga" (picture coming soon).
  • Treasure Island opened new high limit slot room.
  • Palazzo casino is open now.
  • Now you can use your Total Rewards card at Imperial Palace and O'Sheas.
  • One of the Macy's at the Fashion Show Mall is having a closeout sale, everything in the building (including display showcases) is 25%-75% off. Mostly women's, men's clothing, shoes, bags, jewelry, furniture, and kitchen wares are on sale.
Also don't forget to go to the Outlet malls. They are still having sales!
  • Caesars Palace is having promotions, if you earn 300 Base Reward Credits between Jan. 2 - March 31, in one trip, you'll receive Classic Caesars Palace Sweatshirt.
  • Four Queens having a promotion, if you earn 800 points, you'll get this "Royal European Decanter Set". I don't know when this promotion ends, but I believe at least until the end of January. But if you really wanna know, you should call the casino and ask for more details.

We earned over 1,000 points in 2 hours, so it's not that difficult.

Oh, and I forgot to tell you, do you remember "The Wizard of Oz" video slots that we found at Green Valley Ranch? It was at Flamingo, too. And actually Flamingo was better than GVR. I started playing $100 with maximum coin ($3/spin), the most I got up to was $500. Of course, I couldn't stop playing and I ended up the same as what I started. But it's OK. It's a really fun game. When we were playing at GVR, our money just went down.

Here's the offers we received while we were in Vegas:

Sahara:
3 free nights in suite, $50 dining credit, $100 in free play, and complimentary limousine

Four Queens: Game Time Feb.3.08
3 complimentary nights, 2 tickets to the game party, game buffet, raffles, special game gift and more

Treasure Island: UAW-DODGE 400 WEEKEND 2.29-3.2.08
3 complimentary nights, 2 tickets

MGM: UAW-DODGE 400
3 complimentary nights, 2 tickets to the Sam's Town 300 and UAW-Dodge 400, complimentary dining in select restaurants

Stratosphere: Velvet Twenty One $50,000 Blackjack Tournament
3 complimentary nights, gift, cocktail reception

Excalibur:
2 complimentary nights, $50 free play

Hooters:
$500 free slot play, 3 complimentary nights, 2 show tickets, 2 free all-you-can-eat rib dinners, a chance to win $50,000

Green Valley Ranch: Sunday Football Party
3 complimentary nights, Sunday football party

Caesars Palace: Play All the Way Invitational Slot Tournament
Includes 3 complimentary nights at your choice of any Total Rewards casino, special gift, awards reception

Monte Carlo: Spa & Golf Getaway at Monte Carlo
Includes $200 free play, 3 complimentary nights, choose your spa & golf package (2 rounds of golf, 2 spa treatments, or one of each)

Club Grazie (Palazzo / Venetian)
Club Grazie $30,o000 Eye of the Gabon Viper Video Poker Tournament, March 23-25
Includes 3 complimentary nights

Club Grazie (Palazzo / Venetian)
$50,000 Golden Age Video Poker Tournament, Feb. 8-10
Includes 3 complimentary nights at Palazzo

Here's a few things you might wanna know:

If you are Diamond level on your Total Rewards card, and you show that card at the Venetian, they'll upgrade you from Platinum to Gold, and you'll start getting tournament offers, including free rooms.

When you valet at any Harrah's property casinos, show your Diamond or 7 Stars card. Their parking tickets have 2 different colors, one is white and one is yellow (I think). Yellow is for VIP so you get your car faster.

MGM Grand - Shibuya 2007

Shibuya at MGM Grand. We always wanted to try this place, and we finally got a chance. Our waiter said this place's menu changes about every 6 months. Our waiter was very friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. It's a bit pricey, if you are paying your own money, but we were not so we ordered a lot. Maybe it was little too much food for us. We were both so full about half way through. All this food plus one bottled water $8 was total $180.

Our daily special salad was very small portion and expensive, but the food tasted sooooo good. It was probably my favorite dish of all. Tuna was so tasty and it wasn't so oily, I think. Usually fatty tuna is very oily. I'm glad we got this. All the sushi were also delicious.

This place was very busy, so you might wanna make reservations.

Daily special salad $24
Grilled fatty tuna, asparagus, grape tomatoes, butter lettuce, black truffles, shoyu vinaigrette

Australian wagyu skirt steak (tobanjan glaze, shiso marinated shiitake) $39
Beef was good, of course, but I also really liked the marinated mushrooms. Mushrooms were very tasty.

Kyoto miso soup $6

Sushi - tamago (egg) $6.50 x 2, unagi (eel) $9, ama ebi (sweet shrimp) $12, hamachi $10, ume shiso roll $5, inaka (marinated shiitake mushroom and ume paste) $12

Tempura combination $20
I always like to get tempura at nice Japanese restaurants, because they taste better, and these were good. Crispy, not so greasy.

Calpico caramel and passion mousse (with kinaco ice cream, kuromame and crumble) $9
I couldn't really taste Calpico or passion mousse flavor. Dessert tasted just OK. Nice presentation, though.

Paris - Diamond Lounge

This was the Diamond Lounge at Paris on a Sunday. They open at noon on Sunday, and we got here about 10-15 minutes before they opened the door, and there was already a long line for people to get in. About 12:15pm, the seats were full, and there were people waiting outside while we were eating. I couldn't believe it.

If you don't know about Diamond Lounge, let me explain a little. There are 4 levels on your Total Rewards card: Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and 7 Stars. 7 Stars is basically really high class and there is a 7 Star lounge at Caesars Palace.

Here's what you get at Diamond Lounge on a Sunday.
Wings, sandwiches, hot dogs (it was big and good), fruits, cheese, cookies, and any drinks you want.
