Kogi Korean BBQ food truck

I've been wanting to try this Kogi BBQ for a long time, and I finally did. It's the most popular food truck in Los Angeles. Usually you have to wait in line for hours, but we were lucky that we didn't have to. They sell Korean flavor tacos and burritos. Both were really flavorful. Also they look like small portions, but they were pretty filling. If you are eating their tacos outside, make sure you have wipes, it's pretty messy.

Short-rib burrito, $5

Kogi tacos (1 spicy pork, 1 tofu, 2 Korean short ribs) $2 each

Our favorite was the spicy pork. Very tasty and we loved it. Short ribs are fine, tofu was ok, but I wish the tofu had more flavor.

Monte Carlo - Diablo's Cantina

We recently received an offer from Monte Carlo that came with room, free play and food credit, so we decided to try Diablo's Cantina at Monte Carlo.

After we sat down, we didn't get our waitress for a while, so we started checking Yelp to see the reviews of this place, and what other people were recommending. Basically, it says food sucks.
We couldn't decide what we wanted to eat here, also we didn't wanna order too much food if the food sucks here, so we decided to order their appetizer sampler platter to share.

Diablo's sampler platter $24
Taquitos, wings, potato skins, and calamari, served with smokey chipotle dipping sauce

After we received our food, we realized we don't have any silverware, so we had to wait again, until we could get our waitress.

Calamari was probably the worst calamari I ever had in my life. It's hard to believe somebody can mess up making it.

Taquitos had hard meat inside. These potato skins tasted like deep fried. And the worst part of all was the dipping sauce. It's like mayonnaise, but with no flavor and this sauce doesn't go well with any of these foods.

After we finished eating, we went to the bathroom, and it was really dark inside and I almost couldn't see anything. It's kinda scary going inside by myself. Also the bathroom was pretty dirty with trash and toilet paper on the floor.

Rubio's lobster burrito and Baskin Robbins ice cream

I recently received my birthday offers. One was for a free entree up to $7 at Rubio's. Other one was a free scoop of ice cream at Baskin Robbins. At Rubio's, because my burrito was $7.99, I had to pay $0.99. But it was worth it.

$7.99

I can't tell if it's really lobster, or shrimp, but it's got lots of shrimp, rice, pinto beans with lots of flavor. The website says creamy chipotle picante sauce. I loved it.

A free scoop of Love Potion #31 at Baskin Robbins.
It was raspberry and white chocolate and something. Yummy!

Monte Carlo Las Vegas hotel room, Dec. 2009

Here's the room pics from Monte Carlo. Pretty much same as before. Same bathroom, same design. But furniture seems to be a little different.

CLICK HERE for pics from 2008.

Also, Internet price went up from $13.99 to $14.99. And there was a charge of resort fee $20. They said they can't take off these resort fees even though everything else was comped. Resort fee includes newspaper and 2 bottles of water (Monte Carlo brand) a day. BUT the first night, we didn't get any bottled water, but instead, there was already opened, somebody else's bottled water. Next day, we got 2 bottled waters, but we didn't get a newspaper. These resort fees are really rip-offs. It's worth nothing. At least these fees should also includes free Internet like some other hotels.
