Eggless Blackberry, Raisin and Chocolate Scones

More healthy dessert recipe for diet people. I used no egg, no oil or butter but I do recommend for you to use some butter or oil, otherwise it will be dry, not moist like mine.

Recipe adapted from Priya's Versatile Recipes

Eggless Blackberry, Raisin and Chocolate Scones

1cup flour
1cup oats
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
Raisins
Dark chocolate bar (chopped) *Add lots of chocolate to make it tasty.
blackberries
3 Tbsp applesauce
2 Tbsp maple syrup
Milk for brushing

1. Preheat the oven to 350F.
2. Mix the flour, oats, raisins, chopped chocolate, baking powder and baking soda.
3. In a separate bowl, mix applesauce and maple syrup.
4. Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Add blackberries.
5.  knead as a soft dough (sprinkle water if needed).

Thai style pork and green beans recipe

I just made this Thai style pork and green beans for my dinner. It was little too spicy for me but that's because I didn't really follow the original recipe. Maybe I needed more meat and veggies. But it's really easy to make at home and it's ready under 10 minutes.

Recipe adapted from Ezy Thai recipes.

Thai style pork and green beans

Sliced pork
Green beans, cut into 2.5cm long (I think I used about 2-3 cups)
Spinach
2 Tbsp red curry paste
2 Tbsp fish sauce
Dash of sugar
Thai basil leaves

1.In a hot wok, add oil and curry paste. Stir fry until aromatic.
2.Add pork and stir fry 3-4 minutes.
3.Add green beans, spinach, fish sauce, sugar, and some water and stir fry 2-3 minutes.
4.Add basil and stir fry for 30 seconds.
5.Garnish with coriander/cilantro leaves (optional).

Handsome Coffee Roasters - Downtown

Every coffee lover know Handsome Coffee Roasters. Most of the famous and popular coffee shops are using Handsome's coffee. They know about coffee, they are serious about coffee, and they serve delicious pastries from Proof bakery, which is very popular bakery in L.A. My personal complain about this place is the location. No, I don't like the location. It's not very easy for me to go.

I also read so many negative reviews about people complaining they don't have sugar for the coffee, but I don't use sugar or cream so I didn't have any problems about that. Well, now you know, they don't offer you sugar or cream, so just bring your own.

The menu is simple. Espresso or coffee! But we saw someone ordered latte so I know you can get latte too. They do pretty nice latte art.

Delicious pastries by Proof bakery. I'd go back just for those pastries.

Iced coffee. I rarely drink iced coffee but it was good. It was perfect on the hot summer day in L.A.

Dog Haus - Pasadena

Thanks to Groupon. I had free $5 credit, and I got $10 of the food for $5 deal a while ago. That means $10 of free food! I ended up paying $1.90 but hey, I got all the food for under $2? Great!

I ordered corn dog, slider and hot dogs. Yes, that's all for me. I ate all. Everything was delicious and the workers were friendly. I like their $1.50 sliders and slingers. It's perfect for someone like me, who doesn't wanna eat too much or just wanna try little bit of everything.

menu

Look all those food! As always, I got everything with no cheese and easy mayo.

Burger slider $1.50
Angus beef, caramelized onions, mayo

Corn dog slinger $1.50
To me, it look like burned. It was very black. But I ate it anyway. I still liked it.

Hot dog slinger $1.50
All-beef mini dog, caramelized onions, mayo

Sooo Cali $5.95 + $0.50 (veggie dog)
Arugula, sliced tomatoes, crispy onions, spicy basil aioli avocado

I got my hot dog with veggie dog. It was difficult to eat. I believe they use Hawaiian Rolls for all their dogs, so of course, the bread was delicious. The hot dog was good, but I don't think I'm getting it again. To me, it didn't match well with avocado and veggie dog and the sauce.
