making bite size pie snack with pie crust

So I had two boxes of pie crust that was sitting in my pantry and I decided to make something but not pie. Well, there's Japanese snack called "pie no mi" and that's one of my all time favorite snack, so I decided to make something similar to that. All you need is filling (chocolate, custard, etc) and pie dough. It's easy and delicious.

I made dough as directed on package. Put filling. Cover with dough.
Brush with egg wash. Baked as directed. Done.

Matcha Village - Sawtelle

Beijing's popular matcha cafe "Matcha village" just opened few weeks ago as the first U.S. location here in Los Angeles. It is little different from Japanese matcha sweets. They use coconut cream in their drinks, they use soybean pudding instead of boba. It's very unique. To me, their drinks are little too sweet and coconut milk was too heavy. I wish they had options for almond milk.
Matcha Tiramisu / Green Vine cheesecake / Matcha coconut sponge roll / 69 matcha mille crepe / Double chocolate matcha cookies

Souffle cake
black sesame and matcha eclair, loved both

lamb / korean BBQ / crawfish /vegetarian crepes

Macchiato - Downtown

Macchiato just opened another location in Downtown Los Angeles. They are known for cute potted plant drinks and waffles. It's absolutely cute that makes you wanna take pics for instagram. All drinks were delicious, they have soy and almond milk options. Loved Belgium waffles and panini. Well, let's just say I enjoyed everything. Oh and FYI, boba is not ready until noon so if you wanna get boba in your drink, go there after 12pm.
