Super rich brownie.

Good quality cute cupcake socks. I was gonna wear it but my bf really really wanted it so I gave him. Now I want it back.

This is the cupcake of the week, FUNFETTI, which is only available until 1/13

Vegan Kona Coffee and Caramel Churro
Kona coffee cupcake has coconut in it, it was more like chocolate cupcake. Caramel Churro is perfect for caramel lovers.

Gluten free lemon almond and Blueberry coffee cakeBlueberry coffee cake was new to me. It was so soft, like I thought yogurt was on top.

Raspberry Cheesecake. I added macaron on top

Inside cupcakes. Their cupcakes always has some surprise in the middle which makes me more excited.

Casa Barilla is now open at South Coast Plaza and I was here for preview dinner. Most dishes are around $10 and pretty big portions, and everything is made to order. Always fresh and no MSG. Whole grain, vegan, and vegetarian options available. They also write down the calories of each dish so that's also very helpful for weight watchers.
I asked them for no cheese on everything but usually all the dishes below has cheese on it.

Insalatona salmone (500kcal) $13.95
House mediterranea salad (mixed greens,tomatoes,  pinto and garbanzo beans), grilled salmon, lemon dressing. Tasty and filling.

I think this is Ortolana, vegetable pizza with wholegrain dough.

As you can tell, portions are big.

Wholegrain pasta, grilled seasonal veggies, sundried tomatoes

Orecchiette Pugliesi (675kcal) $11.50

This is the most popular pasta and it was my favorite of all.

Cal Mare opened few months ago and already everyone is talking about, because of the chef Joe Sasto, who is on Top Chef Season 15! I was so excited to dine here on New Years Eve. I loved their open kitchen, it's really nice to watch them making food while I'm dining. The service was excellent.

"Cal Mare is an homage to the coast of Italy and Southern California from chef/partner Adam Sobel in collaboration with Michael Mina and MINA Group. Located on the ground floor of the newly designed Beverly Center in Los Angeles, the restaurant celebrates the best of coastal Italian cuisine while featuring California’s bountiful ingredients. The menu highlights seafood from both the Mediterranean and Pacific Ocean, as well as fresh handmade pastas and brick oven pizzas. "

They'll mix it for you. This dish was probably my favorite of all. SO much flavor in one plate.

Our server recommended this. But it was little too salty for us.

I think this is blood orange sorbet

And this was served at the end

I'll definitely go back and maybe try happy hour!

Chicken Warriors is opening mid January in Koreatown. They'll have different flavors of Korean fried chicken and pastas. I was here last night for tasting. Since they are still getting ready so menu is not ready yet. I'll update once I have more information.

We enjoyed pasta. It's in cast iron so it'll stay hot or you can cook more.

Sweet and spicy

It's spicy. Most of us couldn't handle it. But I was totally fine..
