Our Trip to Tokyo 2000 - PART 3

Here's the pics of our Tokyo trip part 3. If you are visiting Japan and wanna have some delicious food, try depachika (meaning, underground department store). I put some photos below. Usually depachika food is fresh and delicious. You can get any kind of foods from meat to fish, imported items, entrees, sushi, spices, gourmet desserts, bakery, whatever, you name it, they have it. Also they usually have some free samples. In case you can't find something you like, try other depachika. Each place has different stores and usually there are at least 3-5 different depachika in the same area.

Our Trip to Tokyo 2000 - PART 2

Here's the pics from our Tokyo trip, part 2. I wish I took more pics.

This is the hotel room we stayed. I know, it's extremely tiny. It was a little less than $40 a night.
Not all the hotels in Japan are so small like this. We tried to find the cheapest room and ended up staying here.

Bathroom. Yes, I know. It's tiny.

This is from a restaurant we went to inside a department store.
Menu has color photo with calories so you can avoid high calorie food. Now you can understand why Japanese people are not so fat.

Underground restaurant. There are so many restaurants and stores underground in Japan. Also connected to the subway station.

Our Trip to Tokyo 2000 - PART 1

Here's the pics from our trip to Tokyo back in 2000. I know, it's 9 years ago, but I didn't have a blog back then, but I do now so I decided to post the pics so I can remember.

We used Korean Air and this was the food on the airplane. It's bibimbap.

This is oden from Lawson convenience store.

This is a burger.

KFC in Tokyo.

Sushi. From department store, probably under $10.

My husband said this Tokyo department store sushi tasted better than any restaurant sushi he had ever had in Los Angeles.

McDonald's in Tokyo.

McDonald's burger and chicken McNuggets
