Do you remember how Cafe D.er used to be in Artesia?  Now they are in Alhambra as corgi themed cafe and serving their signature souffle pancakes and yummy drinks. Souffles are fluffy and soft, melt in your mouth, and they serve super cute corgi drinks!

Saly Papa Japanese yoshoku dining just opened few days ago and I was here on media preview night.

There are two types of Japanese food, which is washoku and yoshoku. Grilled fish, miso soup, sashimi, etc.. that's all washoku.
Yoshoku is a style of cuisine that modifies Western dishes with Japanese elements. Typical dishes of the style include; Omelet Rice, Hamburg Steak, Japanese Curry Rice, Hayashi Beef Rice, Spaghetti, Doria Gratin, and the technique of panko frying things such as pork loin, shrimp, oysters and croquettes.

There aren't many places to eat yoshoku here in Los Angeles so I was pretty excited. Too bad it's really far from where I live, but I recommended for kid's birthday, or casual family dinner!

This kale salad was my favorite of all, definitely not a traditional Japanese yoshoku food but it was absolutely delicious.

Combination platter with 6oz. hamburg steak with teriyaki sauce, omelet rice with ketchup, panko fried shrimp, seafood croquette, Napolitan Spaghetti and side salad.

Japanese kids loves this stuff. This is what we eat in Japan when we were kids.

I was just here the other night, I enjoyed small bowl of wonton soup for only $3.25, and it comes with 4 wontons! All other dishes are also really reasonable, you can actually get good food for under $5. And you get food fast.

Banh Mi is popular Vietnamese sandwiches. Usually they are really cheap, if you go to Chinatown, Monterey Park, Alhambra area.

Banh Mi at Buu Dien in Chinatown was $2, this place is $2.50-$2.75. The service was friendly and I liked my sandwich, specially with this price, I don't have any complains.  A cup of coffee costs more than $3 in L.A.. Not friendly for Vegans / Vegetarians though.

Ham, pork, pate, veggies inside. It's little spicy so if you don't like spicy, ask for less chilies.

Coming here after Benten and Canoe House, I wasn't so hungry anymore but I always have to end my meal with desserts and I always have room for dessert.

There were line.. but moving fast

We decided to get "Your Truly".. 3 scoops and 3 toppings

Horchata, cookie dough, and banana walnut with marshmallow, pineapple and raspberry sauce

It looks like banana split to me. We didn't want any whipped cream but the guy put cream without asking us.
