Cha Redefine - Pasadena

If you are looking for a quality tea place in Pasadena, this is the place. I tried 4 teas, I absolutely loved fresh strawberry cloudy, it has avocado form on top. So good. Another favorite is Rose jade cha. It has a strong rose flavor and very refreshing. If you want something light, this is the one.

Bone Kettle - Pasadena

I had media tasting here, at Bone Kettle back in November.
Bone Kettle brings the bold flavors of Southeast Asia to Old Town Pasadena. Enjoy delicious family recipes of slow-cooked bone broth, small plates, desserts and drinks. The menu was inspired by the flavors of Southeast Asia executed with techniques and thoughtfully sourced ingredients.

Bone Kettle’s bone broth is made using time-honored cooking techniques and fresh, ingredients reflective of Southeast Asian traditions, made by boiling beef in filtered water with onions, garlic, ginger and a specific to Bone Kettle mix of dried spices, for 36 hours.

I got to taste salad, kroket, dumplings, chicken, tartare, fritters, etc.

Also I recently started posting videos on YouTube. Please subscribe!

This is their famous bone broth, it was super tasty!!

Grand Opening! Crackin' Kitchen - Pasadena

Crackin' Kitchen is now open in Pasadena. I was here for pre-opening tasting. The menu was developed by Michelin-starred chef Takeshi Omae. Unique and playful, this Hawaiian-Cajun concept brings dining to a whole new level. Using locally sourced ingredients for its signature sauces.

Drink menu
menu

Here's the tasting menu I had
Housemade sodas, watermelon / ginger / guava.
I also tried passion fruit but ginger was the best.
Seafood platter - Oysters / ahi poke / shrimp cocktails / lomi lomi salmon / crab
Everything was really tasty, but crab was super good!

Guava soy chicken wings
Chowder fries
Hawaiian beers!
Portobello mussel pots - I like this pot better than Thai pot.

Thai mussel pots

Ultimate combo - A must try signature dish
From left to right:
Red - crackin' kitchen cajun, using Hawaiian chili
White - Maui onion based, lemon butter
Black - Hawaiian cacao and cracked black pepper
I liked red but I think I like white the best.
And here's the signature Sweet Art dessert
The server will draw at the table
