Stratosphere hotel room 2008

Stratosphere room in Nov. 2008. I believe this is the standard room. It looks like they changed the bed. Finally that ugly bed cover is gone! It looks much nicer now. But everything else is still the same.

Mirage - BLT Burger

We finally had a chance to try BLT Burger at Mirage. We read so many positive reviews, so we wanted to try this place. This place was very good just like everybody said.

I loved my milkshake. You must try their shakes. I also loved my husband's American Kobe burger. I had a bite and it was very tasty. He loved it, too. My Asian burger was very unusual and original. You can probably only get it here, nowhere else. The patty was mixed pork and shrimp, topped with carrots and daikon, also there were some kind of spread. I wasn't crazy about this burger. My husband tried it and liked it, but I won't order this burger again. I wasn't sure if I wanted to get this, but the waiter said maybe it's like a potsticker, so I decided to try it. The burger had a very strong shiso taste, so if you don't like shiso, I don't recommend it. Our waiter also recommended the salmon burger so maybe I'll try that next time.

Berry Me milkshake $7
strawberry ice cream, mixed fresh berries

Sweet potato fries, chili spice $5

American Kobe burger $17 + Monterey Jack Cheese $1
7 oz. grilled Snake River Farm American wagyu beef burger

Asian burger $12
Pork & Shrimp Burger, Pickled Daikon and Carrot, Herb Salad, Cucumber, Sriracha Mayo

Four Queens gift basket and Harrah's Great Gift Wrap Up 2008

Last week, we used one of our offers from Four Queens, for 3 free nights, RFB, $200 free play and a gift basket. I didn't expect to get this nice gift basket. Because this is the Four Queens, we thought it was just gonna be a Four Queens t-shirt and bag or something like that.

snacks, blanket (super soft), candle, hot cocoa, tea, massage socks

cute plates and mugs

This card shows you what you get and how much you can spend.

This photo is from Harrah's Great Gift Wrap Up. It wasn't crowded at all. Also this was at Harrah's. In the past when we went to the Great Gift Wrap Up it was always at Caesars. At Caesars, you have to walk a long way to get to the ballroom (like 10 minutes), but at Harrah's we didn't have to walk so far, just got on the elevator, and the ballroom was there. Also, check out wasn't crowded at all like Caesars.

There are the actual items on display. You take the card for the item you want, then bring it to check out, then they'll deliver to your house. This year, we didn't have many points, so we just got a Godiva gift basket.

The Palazzo Gold Lounge

Gold Lounge at The Palazzo. The Gold Lounge has sandwiches, coffee, tea, macaroons, iced tea, lemonade, fruit, crackers. The Venetian's Gold Lounge has sodas, orange, apple juice, coffee, some crackers, cheese and fruit. Both lounges are located inside the slots high limit area. You must show your gold card to get inside.

I know it's hard to see, but there's iced tea, lemonade, and fruits.

Inside the men's bathroom. There's mouthwash and lotion.

Aliante Station casino

Aliante Station, just opened on Nov.11. About 25 minutes from the Strip. Inside, the casino was bigger than I thought. The design and the size of the casino was like Red Rock casino. We played slots, but it was terrible. We probably won't go back.

This is the freeway to get to Aliante. There's nothing until you get to the casino.
