I heard Mont Blanc is good here so I've been wanting to go back and try but it was always sold out. But I finally got to try. To be honest, it was average.

Sushi Yoshi is a mom and pop sushi restaurant in Torrance. Their English is not very good, but they are nice if you speak Japanese.  Their sushi is very reasonable, nothing fancy, you can have very basic Japanese sushi here.  They do have 3 American sushi rolls such as California roll, spicy tuna roll and spicy yellowtail roll, but that's about it. So if you want fancy Americanized sushi such as Dragon roll, caterpillar roll, or crispy rice, go somewhere else. And there's no server. Just a chef and his wife (I think).

Everything was simply delicious. Perfect lunch spot. I don't mind coming here alone.
My recommendation is No.5 and No. 7. But regular nigiri sushi is also good, too.

It's been 6 years since last time I was here. This is one of the popular place to get Japanese cakes in reasonable prices. Their cares are not amazing, but good. Usually most of their cakes sells out before 4pm.

Known for Roast beef bowl and Steak bowl, this popular chain restaurant in Japan recently opened their first U.S. location in Torrance, CA. If you haven't tried this place yet, you must. Steak don was good, but try roast beef bowl with egg. It's really delicious.

So good. Love the sauce they are using. It seems like the meat was marinated with onion based sauce, there's also yogurt sauce on top.

Nagomi cake house recently opened in Gardena. It's Japanese cakes, so it's not too sweet, and the price is reasonable. I was here during soft opening and everything was 30% off. Unfortunately I couldn't find what I wanted to eat, but I tried some of the cakes anyway. I'm definitely going back and try other cakes.
