Ninong's Pastries & Cafe - Northridge

Do you like ube? I love ube. We came here to try some ube dishes. They have housemade ube pancakes, french toasts, brownies, other baked goods and shakes. They have filipino food too. I'm not familiar with Filipino food but the menu sounds very interesting.

Pancake Flight $9.99 - Sample of Buko Pandan, Ube, Mango-pina pancakes

When you wanna try little bit of everything like me, sampling is always a good choice.

Ensaymada french toast $11.99 - Ensaymada loaf, cheddar jack cheese, almonds, ube cookie butter drizzle, coffee crunch, and sans rival butter

Ninong's Pride chicken and waffle $14.99 - Maiz queso cornbread waffle drizzled with raw honey topped with tempura fried chicken tenders glazed in sweet chili banana ketchup

Everything sounds very unique but I liked it a lot.

Guyabano filipino juice $3.25 and ube shake $4.75

Guyabano is like pear. Pretty good.

It's little spicy, of course. It's Korean food.

It was very thick. It's basically mashed white bean in soup, I believe. Very filling. It was fine, but not good as soon tofu. I always order the same thing so this was new to me.

Shin Woo Myun Oak - Northridge Galleria Market

Shin Woo Myun Oak, located at food court inside Northridge galleria market. Not so expensive, good portion, healthy and good food. Recommended.

We ordered noodle + squid combo, and noodle + dumpling soup combo. Comes with banchan. This is the food court food, but it's delicious.

Naeng Myeon (cold noodle soup) comes with combo
This is traditional Korean cold soup. But we never had before. It's gotta noodle, beef, pears, boiled eggs, and cucumber, I believe.

Cafe Graikos - Northridge

My husband wanted to try this place out because he was looking for a good place to eat gyros. So he went to this place. $10 is a little too expensive for a gyro, but it was tasty. If you go before 4pm, you can just get a gyro for $6.90.

Your choice of seasoned and braised beef and lamb mixture or chicken gyros, wrapped in pita bread with tomatoes and onions.

Tous Les Jours - Northridge, CA 2009

I like most pastries here at Tous Les Jours. Prices are not so bad, too. All the pastries below are between $1-$2. I wasn't crazy about the frank roll or pumpkin pastry. Melon pan, berry pastry, and an pan was fine. I liked croissant.
