So we received an offer from Monte Carlo with $120 food credit, so on this trip, we ate at BRAND and Diablo's Cantina. This was in Dec. 2009. Inside the restaurant is very dark. Also my chair was dirty, some food on it. But they changed it.
They brought us bread right after we placed our order. Bread was soft and good.
We waited about 30 minutes and finally received our order.
Veal porterhouse (18oz, bone in) $41
I tasted and it was little tough for me.
smokey mashed potatoes $9
We loved these mashed potatoes. Can't stop. Try it. This potatoes were a little different from regular mashed potatoes. I wonder if it's baked? Or because it's smokey?
7-hour short rib $32
Elaine's chicken fried potatoes, double red wine sauce
Originally, these potatoes had a cheese garnish on it, but it didn't say it on the menu and I didn't know it, so I asked the waiter to take it back and remove the cheese.
The short ribs were soooo soft, it just fell apart. You don't need knives. It was very good. Also this was a pretty big portion for me. It's probably enough for two to share.
It also didn't say on the menu, but it looks like there is a truffle inside. We didn't like these chicken fried potatoes. It was kinda smokey and heavy truffle flavor.
creme brulee $8
Just normal creme brulee. It looks like Mickey Mouse. Cute.
