My lunch today - McDonald's nuggets

Today's lunch. Mcdonald's nuggets for me. I tried honey mustard and chipotle BBQ sauce, but I didn't like it at all. Nuggets weren't so good either.

The Grove and Farmers Market - Los Angeles

Here's the pics from one of the most famous farmers market in Los Angeles. This farmers market is great and there are so many places to eat. We tried food from 4 different places and they were all good.

coffee drink from Bob’s Coffee & Doughnuts $3.25

sugar donuts from Bob’s Coffee & Doughnuts $0.95

Thee's pastries croissant $2.50

Burrito from Magee’s Kitchen $7.95

I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but it's pretty big portion.

Singapore's Banana Leaf menu

Mee or Nashi Indo style from Singapore's Banana Leaf $9.45
pan-fried noodles or rice served with two satay sticks and fried egg on top

At the Grove. There are movie theater, restaurants, shops, etc.

This reminds me of Bellagio in Las Vegas.

Yamazaki Bakery - Little Tokyo

I was at Yamazaki bakery recently. I bought sugar toast $1.30 and mini melon pan (4) $2.80.
Taste was fine, not the best. Good place to get Japanese bread in good price.

the foundry on Melrose - Los Angeles

We went to "the foundry on Melrose" on my birthday, back in November. We also had a coupon from http://www.restaurant.com. So we received about $20 off. After coupon, the total was $30 plus tip.

The chef Eric Greenspan was on food network's "the next iron chef".

amuse bouche
It was good, but I can't eat Parmesan cheese and I had to remove it.

Breast of Squab $17
savory "stuffing", candied yams, green beans

This was my plate. It was very small portion. I never tried Squab before and now I know, I don't like Squab. It was like chewing fatty raw meat. Candied yam was delicious. They should have candied yam as a side dish on the menu. I think they said they use homemade marshmallow.

The "Patio Season" burger $12
cheddar, Hawaiian bread, winter condiments

I tasted a little bit, and the burger was delicious. These condiments were very good. It worth $12. Try it.

When we asked to pastry chef about "Persimmon Pancake", he said he doesn't recommend it.
Why he even putting up on the menu if he doesn't like it?
Anyway, both desserts below were okay, but I wouldn't order again.

Cranberry Clafoutis $9
tangerine segments, mint ice cream

Quince Napoleon $9
vodka granite, burnt lemon sauce

Quince was like pear. This napoleon was too sour for me.
