Piccomolo Italian ice cream - Pasadena

So I was in Pasadena today and I was checking my yelp bookmark to see which place I have bookmarked in the area, and it was this place.

I tasted blueberry cheesecake, caffe espresso, green tea, strawberry milk, pinacolada twist, and plain yoggi. Too much? I don't think so. They were all good but I really liked espresso, green tea and strawberry milk. So which one did I choose?

$1.95 single scoop gelato in sugar cone

Strawberry milk and Vanilla $1.95 x2
I guess it's suppose to be gelato, but it was more like ice cream.

Elcholo - Los Angeles

To be honest, Mexican food is my least favorite food, because I can't eat cheese, and also I don't like avocado and sour cream, so of course I didn't say I wanted to come here, but hey, why not? I'll give it a try. Maybe I'm gonna love this place. In fact, I love Isla at Treasure Island in Las Vegas.

Our waitress was very helpful, I'm very happy with their good service. For the food, it was good, but nothing outstanding. Also $30 for burrito and enchiladas aren't cheap, even they were big portion.

Parking: Around $4-$5 valet parking, or park on the street, if you can find the space.

Chips

Blue corn chicken enchiladas $13.95
Marinated breast of chicken, tomatillo sauce, sour cream and avocado garnish, black beans and rice.

I believe you get two enchiladas on the plate (picture above), but since I ordered to make mine with no cheese, they brought me mine on a separate plate.

Burrito Dorado $10.95
chile con carne, beans, rice, aged cheddar cheese, simmered tomato sauce, sour cream and guacamole.

so much meat, and it was really big.

praline cookies
It was too sweet for me, like eating rock sugar.

Jin Patisserie - Venice (Revisited)

I had a 30% off BBE coupon for afternoon tea. I came here 2 years ago and I liked their pastries so I was very excited to come here again for their afternoon tea.

I enjoyed my afternoon tea, but unfortunately, the service was terrible and really slow. It was really hard to get waitress. I can't remember how long we waited to just get waitress and place our order. Then more wait after you placed your orders. We were here for 2 hours, just to have afternoon tea. That's just crazy.

This afternoon tea is $19 and comes with your choice of tea. I got "Toupet De Legumes" for my tea.

CLICK HERE for pics from 2008.

macaron

their pastries sells out pretty quick.

My tea "Toupet De Legumes"
The first tea ever flavored with tomato flower blossom, zucchini flowers, vegetable blend, Espellette's capsicum and red fruits

My tea was good, but we waited over 20 minutes to get tea, also I was hoping they brought me my tea with pastries. I really wanted to enjoy my tea and pastries together.

About 10 minutes later, we finally got our afternoon tea set. Of course, my tea was almost empty and it was start getting cold.
There are sandwiches, scones, jam, macaron, chocolate, and mini pastries.

My bread for egg sandwich was dry

But all other pastries were very good.

cappuccino $3.50 - It was actually delicious.

Mr. Pizza - Koreatown

Mr. Pizza, Korean pizza restaurant, my new favorite pizza place in L.A.. It's a pizza restaurant, but this place was packed with Korean customers, and they'll bring you complimentary pickles when you sit down. And you can't miss their "premium pizza", which is their famous sweet potato mousse crust pizza.

First, they'll bring you pickles

One of their popular signature pizza; potato gold $16.50 (R)
tomato sauce, sweet potato mousse, mushroom, ground beef, corn, onion, potato, cheddar cheese, bacon, nacho chip and sour cream

potato, nacho chip, sour cream and sweet potato!? It might sound weird to you, but this pizza was just damn good.

cheesy

bulgogi pizza (with no cheese) $12.50 (R)
marinated Korean bulgogi beef, onion, bell pepper, mushroom and tomato sauce
I thought sliced beef gonna be on top, but it was more like ground beef.

This is the best part; sweet potato mousse inside pizza crust.
You get this sweet mousse at the end, just so good.
