Yelp elite event at McCormick & Schmick's - Downtown

Here's some pics from Yelp elite event at McCormick & Schmick's in Downtown.

We started off with some wine

Miniature Lump crab tower with avocado, mango, orange vinaigrette
..was delicious

Clam chowder was delicious too

This is the third course "Surf and Turf" with stuffed shrimp with buerre blanc sauce and filet medallions with mushroom demi-glace, served with lobster risotto and asparagus spears

I asked if they can do without cheese, and this is what I got. I know, I lost my appetite. My plate looked sad. Also rice was hard and old so I had to ask them to give me new rice and sauce for the steak. Later I found out that they thought I can't eat any daily and that's why I got no sauce.

And this is what I got. steak with sauce, and rice with squash.

Go Greek Yogurt - Beverly Hills

I went to Yelp's Welcome To Go Greek Yogurt event. It was such an awesome event. I thought we only gonna get one free yogurt but it wasn't. We got to sample so many different ones. They were also very friendly, the owner even tried to give us yogurt to take it to home.

I tried 0%, 2% and 10% fat yogurt. I personally liked 0% or 2%. 10% was too rich for me, it was like sour cream or cheese.

frozen yogurt

black cherry

wild berries

Berries, shaved dark chocolate, honey

cucumber, olive oil, sea salt, crushed black pepper, oregano, toasted pita

The owner said he can fill this up with yogurt to take home but we had some plan so we had to refused it.

Du-par's 75th Anniversary

I went to Dupar's on their 75th anniversary day. Omg... when we arrived around 3pm, there were long line. We waited one hour. But by the time we were leaving, the line was insane. So I guess we were kinda lucky because we only waited an hour.

I ordered chowder, chicken pot pie, and gooseberry pie. After I got my food, I was keep asking to myself, why did I get chowder, pie, and chicken pot pie?? That's all creamy soup and pies! Why didn't I get something different like meatloaf or sandwich? I was keep saying this all day. Anyways, I liked chowder and burger. Desserts were too American for me (means too sweet for my taste).

pic of our receipt is here: http://instagram.com/p/fjCPnlMUgF/

75th anniversary menu

Split pea soup $0.15 and sprite (Free refills) $0.10

Clam Chowder $0.25

Apple pie $0.15

Gooseberry pie $0.15
My first time gooseberry pie. It was sour.

Cheeseburger with no cheese $0.25

Chicken pot pie $0.35

I should've known that they use dark meat. I guess I didn't care so much 'cause it was only $0.35.

Chocolate Chair - Koreatown

I love Chocolate Chair. They make ice cream after you placed your order. So tasty and delicious. I also love their unique flavors of shaved ice. I've never seen grain, yam, lavender or rose shaved ice.
