El Flamin' Taco food truck - Koreatown

It was around 2am last night, and there were lots of people waiting in line and eating at this parking lot in Koreatown (across from the new Galleria market on 5th st ).
Now, this is not just a typical food truck. They make handmade tortilla, and they are cooking this huge pork on skewers. Also there are salsa bar so that you can add more salsa toppings to your food, and tables and chairs, so you can sit down and eat there.

How was the food? Everybody loved their food.

Arisu - Koreatown

Newly opened up Arisu korean BBQ restaurant in Koreatown. I went to twitter meet up at this place last week.

They said all their banchan are homemade, and they don't use MSG. They also said they use good quality meat for their BBQ. Their lunch menu starts from $6.99. I ordered mixed seafood bibimbap, I wanna try bulgogi bibimbap next time.

Arashi sushi - Downtown, L.A.

After reading so many good reviews on Yelp about this Arashi sushi, I had to check this place out. Unfortunately, the sushi was just average and their robata-yaki were bland. But good prices on Happy Hour.

Because our shrimp robata-yaki was old and we returned it, they gave us one of the dessert for free.

Crunchy unagi roll $6 (happy hour price)

shrimp robata-yaki $1.50 x2 (happy hour price)

No flavor.

White tuna (ono) $2.50 (happy hour price), Bonito (Katsuo) $5.50
Katsuo was frozen. one of the worst katsuo nigiri sushi I've ever had. It is shame that they put this frozen katsuo under "today's special". December is not the right season for Katsuo.

Scallop filo (deep-fried scallops wrapped in filo pastry) $10.50

Pike Mackerel (sayori) $6.50
Sayori was good

J's special (real crab meat wrapped inside albacore with mustard soy sauce) $13.95
My friend said crab meat tastes fake, but I liked this J's special. It was tasty.

Deep fried spicy tuna ribs with ponzu sauce $9
It was soft and tasty.

Tiramisu $8
our waitress told me, they have two different kind of tiramisu, one is homemade, and one is from store. They only serve homemade tiramisu to VIP because it's really popular. She said this is homemade tiramisu and it was good.

Not so recommended.
