Ippudo ramen - West Hollywood

Ippudo introducing a new seasonal menu, Hakata Tsukemen (dipping ramen). The broth has a strong bonito flavor, and I like how chashu is cooked golden brown! So delicious. I also tried one of their signature ramen, Akamaru Modern. It was delicious as well, but I personally liked new tsukemen better, just because I like thicker noodles. And if you are dine-in, don't forget to try Housemade Hojicha pudding! So yummy!

Rock House Sliders - West Hollywood

RHS vision is to grow RHS into the world’s most recognizable specialty slider joint by establishing presence in top metropolitan cities, serving delicious, high quality sliders. All sliders and shakes are mini size, also they have several impossible sliders options so I don't feel guilty eating here. Each sliders were tasty, I really enjoyed all impossible sliders I tried.

Be sure to check out my YouTube video below!

Front left to right - Impossible truffle mushroom / Impossible Korean / Impossible slider
Back left to right - Nashville Fire / Donut Chicken / Impossible wasabi burrito
Donut Chicken (glazed donut / fried chicken)
Impossible wasabi burrito
I didn't taste any wasabi so even you can't handle spicy, I think you can handle this.
Impossible truffle mushroom and Impossible Korean with kimchi were my favorites!

Ube coconut oreo
Waffle fries / Rockin' messy fries / Buffalo maple chicken
Red Lava gourmet ice cream

Here's the pics from Soft opening, back in June, 2019. Too bad I didn't see onion rings on the menu anymore.

New Japanese Italian restaurant Blackship - West Hollywood

Back in December, I went to newly opened Japanese Italian restaurant, blackship. I was here during soft opening and it was difficult to make reservations. They told us to just walk-in, and we got table no problems. Inside tables were all full, but the bar area and patio were open. I told them I wanna seat patio, since there were no people, but the host was keep saying "bar is nice" "I think bar is good" "I think patio is too cold" and she won't let us seat outside. I don't know why she didn't wanna let us seat outside since there was nobody but tables were all set up.
After I told her few times that I wanna seat outside, she finally said ok.

I just didn't like the host here. Also I didn't like the fact they added 20% service charge without any mention, and taxed not only on total amount, but on tip amount also.

Food was good, but I expected too much.

TKG Arancini $4

Shungiku Gnocchi $20
I like this gnocchi better than bolognese.
Hamachi Bolognese $26
I couldn't tell if there's any hamachi in it or not.
Carbonara ramen (cheese side) $19
Fall squash croquette $4
Local Albacore Namerou $18

Kurobuta Chop Roast $42

Hojicha Matcha tiramisu $12

Aburiya Raku - West Hollywood

I came here for belated birthday dinner. Three of us had two $90 omakase, and few items from menu.
Food was not the best but good, although the service was very slow.

Homemade tofu - It was part of Omakase. I think it's one of the popular dish here.
Poached egg with Sea Urchin and Salmon Roe
I also ordered side of rice and put them on top of it. So good.
Tsukune $3.5 x 2
I think this was Iberico pork. But not sure, it looks beef to me. Could be kobe beef.
Sashimi for two - part of Omakase
Takana Inari $4
I think it's Kobe beef with garlic $9. It was also part of Omakase
Tomatoes - part of Omakase
Takenoko (bamboo shoots) - Part of Omakase
Asparagus and Chicken - Part of Omakase

Fish - Part of Omakase
I think it was Iberoco Pork - also part of Omakase
