Cavi Cucina Italiana - Newhall, CA (CLOSED)

Cavi Cucina Italiana restaurant in Newhall, CA. Good Italian food, and good service.
I had this very interesting linguine with grapefruit jus sauce. Pasta was harder than usual (but in a good way), once I start eating, I couldn't stop eating. I was just keep going, going, and going... yeah, it was gooood. My husband had this very unique looking pasta, I know, it looks like a insect, but taste was good. My tiramisu was also interesting, instead of using espresso coffee, this tiramisu uses limoncello liquer. They also have regular tiramisu which uses espresso.

Aunt Jemima - frozen waffles and pancakes

Aunt Jemima frozen waffles and pancakes. We don't buy this type of food unless it's on sale and it was on sale, and I wanted to try them since I never tried Aunt Jemima frozen products. Yeah, it's my first time Aunt Jemima! I think each box was 75 cents after using coupon. I liked the cinnamon roll pancakes. Each one is very small, but it's ready in 30 secs, and taste is actually good. Waffle was just like other frozen waffles.

Kaiten sushi - Santa Monica

Kaiten sushi place in Santa Monica, located next to Johnnies New York Pizza.
Sushi prices depend on the color of the plate. Visit website for more info.
All total below was $28. When we were there, 95% of the sushi plates on the counter were either $4.95 or $5.95, which is crazy fancy rolls, the ones I didn't wanna eat at all. I guess they were trying to make some money with expensive ones. Anyway, we were waiting for nigiri sushi, not fancy rolls. After sitting there for 30 minutes, finally I saw albacore so we got it. And all we got was below. They need to have more nigiri sushi! We're probably not coming back here again. Oh, and taste was just ok, nothing special.
I was also not happy about dirty plates sitting next to us. Waiter didn't clean up until we were about to leave.

$3.95

Albacore $3.95

Eggs $1.95 x 3

Shrimp $2.95

Inari $1.95 x2

Chicken Gyoza $4.95
Very disappointing. This is NOT a Gyoza, this is deep-fried wontons!

Sara Lee frozen Southern pecan pie

It was on sale, we like pecan pie, we like Sara Lee products, so we bought this Sara Lee southern pecan pie. I'm not sure if it's only this one or also the other ones too, but this pie had a really weird taste. We both had one bite, and the rest of the pie went to trash. Also the filling was way too sweet. Very disappointed.
