Shuto Izakaya - Koreatown

Late night quick dinner at Shuto Izakaya. Everything was average. Nothing special. I like the atmosphere tho. And free parking is always a big plus!

 Oden
Sausage
Okonomiyaki
Not only took a while to make it, it wasn't good at all. Don't order this. Don't order Japanese food at Korean Izakaya.

Bea Bea's - Burbank

Bea Bea's is popular local breakfast/brunch restaurant. This place close at 3pm on weekdays so we came here around 2pm, and it was still packed! We got their most popular items on the menu.
If the menu is too big and you don't know what to order, try "Green Tea Monster" for pancakes, or "Anton Likes This" for waffles. They told me some people are not familiar with green tea, and the people who's not familiar with it, they don't like green tea and they like to stick with old style, like "Anton Likes This."
They also have some specials sometimes. Just ask to the server.

Thai tea / Shirley Temple / Mango lemonade
Green Tea Monster $11.50 - Matcha green tea pancakes, green tea mascarpone, white choco chip & whipped cream
Since there's white choco chip in the dough, it makes it little sweeter.
Thai tea pancakes $10.95 - with Thai tea cream and whipped cream
This also has white choco chip inside
Anton Likes This $10.95 - Strawberries & nutella topped with whipped cream
Basic American breakfast. Can't go wrong.
Spy's Dewdrops $14.95 - Choice between pancakes, waffle, french toast or crepes served with breakfast potatoes, ham steak, and bacon

WKNDR - Los Feliz

WKNDR is newest spot in Los Feliz. This place is very tiny. It's perfect spot to stop by alone and have quick brunch. I saw many people just come here to order drinks to go.

menu

Everything was beautiful and delicious.

Blue Bowl $12 - blue green algae, with oat milk, banana, house made granola, strawberries, shaved coconut, bee pollen and raw honey. You can add collagen for extra charge. It's healthy yet tasty.
Waffles and chicken, it's new item. I loved it. Chicken was coated with many herbs and spices, had so much flavor. I liked this dish the most.
Japanese air pancakes $12 -  Butter milk air pancakes with maple syrup, housemade strawberry syrup, dragon fruit and salted butter
It was softer than it looks
Iced honey lavender latte / Matcha milk tea / Thai milk tea with boba
You can also add cbd and collagen to any drinks for extra charge.

Ninong's Pastries & Cafe - Northridge

Do you like ube? I love ube. We came here to try some ube dishes. They have housemade ube pancakes, french toasts, brownies, other baked goods and shakes. They have filipino food too. I'm not familiar with Filipino food but the menu sounds very interesting.

I love ube

Pancake Flight $9.99 - Sample of Buko Pandan, Ube, Mango-pina pancakes
When you wanna try little bit of everything like me, sampling is always a good choice.
Ensaymada french toast $11.99 - Ensaymada loaf, cheddar jack cheese, almonds, ube cookie butter drizzle, coffee crunch, and sans rival butter
Ninong's Pride chicken and waffle $14.99 - Maiz queso cornbread waffle drizzled with raw honey topped with tempura fried chicken tenders glazed in sweet chili banana ketchup

Everything sounds very unique but I liked it a lot.
Guyabano filipino juice $3.25 and ube shake $4.75
Guyabano is like pear. Pretty good.

Coffee Bar at the Nomad hotel

Inspired by the iconic grand cafes of Venice, Italy, The Coffee Bar offers an elegant space for a morning coffee and a pastry, a leisurely afternoon espresso or aperitif, or an evening cocktail. Guests may enjoy their selections inside at standing tables or on-the-go if they choose.

I saw yummy croissants pics on yelp and I've been wanting to come here. If you think about the price, the size, and the taste, I can say their croissants are the best in L.A. Yes, it was that good.

It seems like they open at 6:30am, and their yummy croissants are served until 3 or 4pm (I forgot what time).

This time I tried PB&J, strawberry, and cappuccino croissants. $5.50 each. Everything is made from scratch, even peanut butter! Definitely worth the price.

Each croissant is pretty big.

Lots of cream inside.
