Forever Geisha Sushi - Valencia, CA

Forever Geisha Sushi in Valencia, California. We went here because they were having a sushi sale. So almost all the sushi was 50% off. I know, I've never heard of a sushi sale. They're probably still doing the sale, if you wanna try it out. We got our sushi to go.

The food quality and taste was below average. Spicy tuna looked so weird, like mixed with something else. That was so gross. Even though these were 50% off, it's still not worth the money. Sushi here sucks.

Inari $2.50 (reg price $4.50), cucumber roll $3.25 (reg price $5.95)

Spicy tuna roll $3.25 (reg price $5.95)
Why does this tuna roll have colors of beige, red, pink, orange, etc? What's in it?

Gobe roll $7.95 (reg price $13.95)
Shrimp tempura, avocado with snow crab, seared scallop, special sauce

Albacore $2.69 (reg price $4.75)

Italia Panetteria & Deli - Valencia, CA

Italia Panetteria & Deli in Valencia, CA. Again, my husband's Yelp friends said it's good, so he got sandwiches for me and him.

You can choose a hard roll or soft roll, and we agreed the hard roll is much better. Yes, the sandwich was good. I liked my ham sandwich. He was gonna get me the deluxe ham, but he said it looked dry.

I'm not sure if it's worth the money. The website says they serve quality items. I didn't see any "quality" sandwich like their website says. I can get a double-size sandwich for $5 at Subway. This small sandwich costs $7. Total $15 for these small sandwiches?? I don't think so. I can get a similar type and size of bread, a little lettuce, tomato, and deli meat from Whole Foods and just make it myself. It would be cheaper and more food.

So yes, I liked it, but we probably won't go back unless we get coupons. Too expensive for sandwiches.

Honey Ham with hard roll $6.99

Turkey & Provolone with soft roll $6.29

Wok's Cookin' - Castaic, CA

Wok's Cookin' in Castaic, California. Why Chinese food in Castaic?? It's a truck stop area off the freeway. If you want good Chinese food, you always should go to the area where real Chinese people live, like Monterey Park. So I knew this place was gonna suck. The reason we tried here was because my husband was checking Yelp and I guess his friends reviewed this place or recommended it or something, and he wanted to try. But driving to Castaic and getting Chinese food was the wrong idea. It'sa small place and inside has a vintage look. It's expensive for what you get.

Everything we ordered was terrible. But especially the fried rice was the worst. The meat tasted so weird and we put all the meat in the trash. We were joking how maybe they used dead animal meat from next door (there was an animal hospital next door). Soup tasted like canned vegetables.

They also have a lunch buffet for $8.25, 11am-2pm, if you wanna try out their food. I personally think $8 for Chinese lunch buffet is too expensive as most buffet places are $5-$6 and the food is probably better.

Szechuan Chicken (comes with steamed rice) $7.95

Tomato Joe's Pizza - Valencia, CA

My husband saw this place and he wanted to try it out. This was back in September, 2008. It was fine, average pizza. It wasn't bad though. This place used to be Garlic Jim's. I don't know if they are still doing this, but back in September, all their pizzas come with free pepperoni.

Beard Papa cream puffs

Cream puffs from Beard Papa. We had a coupon for a free puff with purchase. For the first time, we tried caramel cream, and we really liked it. We liked the caramel filling more than the custard. Recommended. The cookie puff was good, too. Cheesecake was kinda disappointing. I didn't think it was delicious. Now Beard Papa is selling mini croissants. We had a discount coupon and I wanted to try it, but it was extremely small and expensive for the size, so I didn't get it.

$1.95 each

custard
