Porto's Bakery - Burbank, CA

Porto's is one of the most famous and popular bakeries in Los Angeles. We've been wanting to try and we finally did! And luckily, there was no line when we were there.

I think this place is really overrated. It's fine, but there are better bakeries out there. Still, I'd go back to try out something else. They have hundreds of pastries and cakes. Plus the server was really nice and friendly, and she gave us some free ones.

"Dulce de Leche" and "White Chocolate Mocha" ice blended $3.95 each

Roasted Pork Sandwich (Pan con Lechon) $4.50
Oven-roasted pork served with special Spanish garlic dressing (Mojo) on Cuban bread.

This sandwich was really smelly. And to me, it didn't have that much flavor. Hard to believe this sandwich is such a popular item.

Choco raspberry mousse $3.50

Mango cheesecake $2.50
It was rich.

Carrot cake $1.50 (?)
Extremely sweet.

Napoleon $2.50

Potato balls 85 cents each

Basically it's like piroshki. This potato ball is their most famous and popular item.

This is the chicken ball that they gave us to try it for free.

We don't recommend this chicken ball.

Well, it's nice to give us some free pastries, just too bad I don't like cheese and I had to take the cheese out.
