New gimbap and snack place opened recently in Koreatown, where Elephant snack corner used to be. I was here during soft opening, and the food was ok but the service was a mess. I think they opened too soon. The workers need to be trained more, so does kitchen stuff. They seemed like they were not sure what they were doing.
We ordered gimbap + udon combo $8.99, and gimbap + mandoo combo $8.99. They lost our order so we waited little over 30 minutes to get dumplings. Because of that, instead of getting smaller portion of dumplings, we got full size dumplings. I liked gimbap, but udon and mandoo were just ok. Also when you order combo, you get to pick gimbap flavor, but they said any flavor except mixed gimbap. It's same price with all other gimbap so I don't know why you can't choose mixed gimbap. Also when I asked what's in the mixed kimbap, they mentioned there's cheese in it, so I asked if they can make it without cheese. They said no. I don't understand why, because on the menu, it says "made fresh per order". But anyway, I'll suggest to call 30 minutes ahead, and then go pick up your gimbap. That way, you shouldn't have any problems.
