Nong La Vietnamese cafe has two locations in Los Angeles. I came here for the first time for tasting event. If you don't know what to get, I'd say get noodles.
Cafe Sua - Iced Vietnamese coffee $4
Che Ba Mau - Red beans, mung beans, water chestnut flour, simple syrup, coconut cream $4.75
Soda Chanh - Fresh squeezed sparkling lemonade $3.5

Bun bo Hue $12.25 - Lemongrass spicy beef soup with vermicelli noodles, pork patty and beef shank, topped with white onions, green onions, and cilantro.
This is one of the most popular item on the menu
Nem Nuong Cuon (pork rolls) $6.95- Rice paper rolled with grilld pork patty (spam), crispy roll, lettuce and fresh herbs.
Hen Xuc Banh Da Me (clam salad with black sesame cracker) $9.95 - Baby clams with green mangoes, white onions, chili flakes and mint topped with peanuts, shallots, cilantro with a fresh sauce vinaigrette.
This salad was probably our favorite dish
Bo Nuong Banh Mi (Grilled lemongrass & sesame steak Banh mi) $8.50 - Served with house mayo, pickled carrots/daikon, cilantro and jalapenos.
This Banh Mi was little disappointed, because they just used house mayo instead of making pate. Also bread was little tough.
Bo Nuong Com (Grilled lemongrass & sesame steak $11.50 + fried egg $1.50) - Jasmine rice served with a side of cucumber, pickled carrots/daikon and fish sauce
Dac Biet $12.25 - Rare filet mignon, brisket, tripe & beef balls
