Red Robin $5.99 special

I recently went to Red Robin and I got these two $5.99 special items.

Prime chophouse burger $5.99
The burger needs little more flavor. Of course it might be because I got with no cheese. Also I didn't taste any "horseradish-sauteed" mushroom.

southwest grilled chicken salad $5.99
Our waitress split our burger, fries, and salad for us. It's really enough for two.

The Lazy Dog Cafe and Menchies frozen yogurt

I recently went to the lazy dog cafe. Maybe I just ordered wrong items. I didn't like the food here so much. I wish I got sandwich or burger because I heard they are good.

trio of hummus dips $7.95
a trio of walnut pesto, sundried tomato and traditional hummus served with flatbread, sliced cucumbers and tomatoes.

It wasn't bad taste, in fact, their hummus were fine, I just didn't like their flatbread (pita) because there were so much cheese on it so I couldn't eat it.

wok-fried calamari $9.95
tender calamari tossed with sweet soy plum sauce, topped with peanuts, bell peppers, green onions and sesame seeds. served over rice.

I thought calamari's gonna be more like "calamari". This was like sweet and sour chicken served over rice. I didn't like it.

After the lazy dog cafe, I was still so hungry (because I only had a bite, I was so depressed and couldn't eat anything) so I went to Menchies frozen yogurt place just around the corner from the lazy dog cafe.

Both total was $7.43. You pay by weight.

Vanilla and Red Velvet cake, I believe.

boysenberry, cookies 'n cream and ..vanilla? I can't remember.
topping: mochi, kiwi, berries, graham cracker crumbs ...yum!

La Quinta Inn - Stevenson Ranch, CA

So I was not comfortable staying at Extended Stay America, I changed to this place. It was about $20 more than Extended Stay America, but includes free breakfast, internet, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and HBO TV channel. Also bed was more comfortable than Extended Stay America. There are also pool and fitness center.

Extended Stay America - Stevenson Ranch, CA

I recently stayed at Extended Stay America in Stevenson Ranch. It's about 5 min from Magic Mountain, so if you are visiting Magic Mountain, this is one of the area you wanna look for a hotel.

This room was around $65 a night. Internet is extra $5 (one time fee). My room was awful. The bed was so hard and uncomfortable, I couldn't sleep at all (seriously, I was up all night). The shower doesn't work and internet was really slow (like dial-up) and it shows me "unsecured". They said it should be secure and high-speed, but I don't believe it. I was also having hard time setting up internet, and I had to ask about connecting internet, but they just said "I don't know about internet". Not helpful.

But this place has microwave, iron, coffee maker, fridge, dishes, and showtime on TV. No breakfast included.

About the maid service, they don't clean your room or change your towels everyday. So if you are only staying 3 nights or so, you have to keep using the same towels. You suppose to get maid service once if you paid for a week, but I didn't get one.

My situation right now

I'm sorry, I haven't update my blog so long. This is very personal thing, but we are getting divorce. We've been together for 10 years so I'm having really hard time right now.
I never cried so much in my life.

I still have some Vegas pics to update, but I won't be able to go back to Vegas for a while and I'll be start updating more food pics in L.A.and my recent trip to Japan.

Meanwhile, I'm trying to move on and forget about it, and trying to make some new friends in L.A.. So if any of the foodie who lives in L.A. and wanna hang out, feel free to email me.

*I should be able to start updating my blog again sometime this week. I've been too busy lately.
