Celebrating National Donut day at BLD - Los Angeles

6/7 was the National Donut day. I came here to try their donuts tasting event. When I arrived, this place was packed but the counter area was empty.

I had three donuts and I must say, they were one of the best donuts I've ever had. They were all fluffy and mouthwatering. Also very unique flavors, you can't get anywhere else. Really delicious.

Cafe Todo Dia - Koreatown

Brazilian restaurant in Koreatown. I felt like I should be getting traditional Brazilian food but I really wanted spaghetti with  sausage so that's what I got. I also wanted to get some appetizers but I didn't know the price has gone up and also I didn't have enough cash. Oh well, next time.

Menu

Complimentary small dishes comes with your meal. Pickled cucumer, celery, and potato salad. They were all delicious.

Caffe Bene on Wilshire - Koreatown

This is the second location of Caffe Bene in Koreatown.I actually like this location better than the one on Western. I haven't been back to the other location so I don't know but at least this location has more food, like sandwiches, housemade desserts, etc.

Ham and Egg croissant $3.25

It was big portion. Probably enough to share with 3-4 people. Make sure you are hungry or sharing.

There were rice or tapioca pearls inside. I wish they described about it. Some people don't like it (like me).

PINGTUNG Eat-in Market - Los Angeles

PINGTUNG recently opened on Melrose avenue. It's hard to believe that there is actually really good Asian restaurant in this area. They serve Japanese ramen, sushi, dim sum, banh mi, rice bowls, and more. I'm definitely going back and try more different items on the menu. Everything was delicious. This place is better than some of the popular dim sum restaurants in East L.A.

Sauteed baby bok choy $6.95

PINGTUNG flat bread chicken roll $6.95
dark meat. well seasoned, although wish they used breast meat.

Spicy crystal shrimp dumplings $5.50
Pretty spicy

Pork and shrimp shumai $5.95

Shanghai-style panfried pork buns $5.50

Absolutely my favorite of all. The bun was crispy, soft and sweet.
