It's officially open in Koreatown. They have one in Orange County and this is the second location. Each donut is double size of regular donuts, and it's only $3. Cheap, cute, and yummy.

Bobalicious - Eagle Rock

I came here for tasting event during soft opening, about 2 weeks ago. Inside the store is super cute, pink wall with bear drawing and big bear sitting there. I enjoyed my customized boba drinks, too.

Here's my drinks. Left is white peach tea, right is kumquat and strawberry tea with pudding, boba, and chia. Delicious.
Desserts were super good, too.

Heart and star boba is so cute.

Abalone noodles soup, curry, popping fishball, fried tofu

LA weekly Brunch at the races 2017

I went to LA weekly's brunch at the races this year yesterday. I felt like it was smaller than the first year. Still, I enjoyed all the yummy food and some free stuff. There were alcohol, coffee, and breakfast/brunch food, and popular venders run out the food fast so if you are going to the event next year, make sure to be there early. Luckily, I didn't have to wait to get in, and I tried almost all the food they had. I only posted few pics here, so make sure to visit my facebook page for complete pics.

This is one of my favorite of all, from Monkey bar gastropub
And McConnell's coffee ice cream was super yummy.
Loved Jones coffee with lavender syrup

VIP gift bags! I got one and there were some drinks and coupons.

Nong La cafe - Los Angeles

Nong La Vietnamese cafe has two locations in Los Angeles. I came here for the first time for tasting event. If you don't know what to get, I'd say get noodles.

Cafe Sua - Iced Vietnamese coffee $4
Che Ba Mau - Red beans, mung beans, water chestnut flour, simple syrup, coconut cream $4.75
Soda Chanh - Fresh squeezed sparkling lemonade $3.5
Bun bo Hue $12.25 - Lemongrass spicy beef soup with vermicelli noodles, pork patty and beef shank, topped with white onions, green onions, and cilantro.
This is one of the most popular item on the menu

Nem Nuong Cuon (pork rolls) $6.95- Rice paper rolled with grilld pork patty (spam), crispy roll, lettuce and fresh herbs.

Hen Xuc Banh Da Me (clam salad with black sesame cracker) $9.95 - Baby clams with green mangoes, white onions, chili flakes and mint topped with peanuts, shallots, cilantro with a fresh sauce vinaigrette.
This salad was probably our favorite dish
Bo Nuong Banh Mi (Grilled lemongrass & sesame steak Banh mi) $8.50 - Served with house mayo, pickled carrots/daikon, cilantro and jalapenos.
This Banh Mi was little disappointed, because they just used house mayo instead of making pate. Also bread was little tough.
Bo Nuong Com (Grilled lemongrass & sesame steak $11.50 + fried egg $1.50) - Jasmine rice served with a side of cucumber, pickled carrots/daikon and fish sauce
Dac Biet $12.25 - Rare filet mignon, brisket, tripe & beef balls
