The Pie Hole - Downtown, Los Angeles

The Pie Hole,  the pie lover's hang out place in Little Tokyo area. Their pies are around $5.5-$6, it's not cheap. Easily you can spend $15 for two slices of pies. Yeah.. that's crazy. But I guess this is L.A., everything is pricey.

mini cobbler $2 with ice cream

The Meat Pie $6 (plus tax $0.53)
mashed potato, bacon, bone marrow

I had to try this because I saw people on yelp recommended. It was good but the pie dough was too buttery for me. Because they heated up, I could really smell and taste the butter, which I don't like. But otherwise, I enjoyed it.

Crostata $5.50
Chocolate with caramel/ sea salt
Well, lucky me. They gave me this for free. It's like rich sweet gooey brownie on pie dough. This heavy sweet pie will fill you up.

Black Cat Bakery & Cafe - Los Angeles

One of my favorite cafe in the area. I usually come here to get 50% off pastries after 4pm. Their pastries are already good prices (please don't change the prices!) but after 4pm, you can get muffins and scones for under $1.50. Isn't that great? Yeah, that's right, I got all those delicious pastries below for 50% off.  I also like here because every time I come here, the workers are super friendly and nice to me.

They have sugar free pastries and vegan brownies, and also use agave, wheat, honey, bran, etc, so you don't feel so guilty.

Sua Da $2.75
Vietnamese Iced coffee. It was DELICIOUS.

Lemon & orange scone $2.95

Raspberry white choco pistachio muffin $2.50

Sugar Free Orange honey $2.50

Cranberry Walnut scone $2.99 and Lemon & Orange scone $2.95
I love scones here.

Grand Opening! Towne Food & Drink - Downtown

Another great place just opened yesterday in Downtown, Los Angeles. I came here for their Red Velvet Twinkie. Unfortunately, it was sold out but I got S'mores donut instead. Of course I wanted to buy more than just one donut, but it was already after dinner and I already had some pies at The Pie Hole, so I decided to get more next time. Their pastries are very similar to Bottega Louie. I can't wait to go back this place.

Frosted Cupcakery - Hollywood

I can't remember but I came here for a free cupcake back in October, 2011. Frosted cupcakery offers gluten free cupcakes. They also have ice cream cupcakes and hi-top cupcakes. I'm not really a big fan of cupcakes but I like this place because they have more fun cupcakes. Their ice cream cupcakes are bigger than regular cupcakes (like double size).

gluten free pumpkin cream cheese

This was my muffin. I enjoyed it.

chocolate cookies & cream

Royal white vanilla strawberry ice cream cupcake $4.95

You can't tell from the picture, but it was really big. Unfortunately, the muffin was dry and ice cream was still really frozen. I had to wait like 10 minutes for  ice cream to get soft.

I tried to eat but I couldn't pull out the fork, because it was frozen.
